Isabella p.o.v
I slowly wake with a warm and safe feeling. A feeling I haven't had since my parents' death. A feeling I never thought I'd ever feel again.
I get closer to the source, thinking nothing of it at first, but it doesn't last long as I quickly jump up, having no idea where I am or why I'm suddenly feeling this. My quick actions cause a groan to leave someone's lips, and I look beside me in fright.
To my surprise, I see one of the guys from yesterday rubbing his eyes. "Good Morning." He says, his voice husky and laced with sleep. 'Whoa..' I blush slightly.
"You and Violet started to whimper when I tried to leave, so I just stayed; I hope that's okay." He continues. I nod, too afraid to move or do anything.
'What was his name again? I think it was Amir.' I ask myself. He stares straight into my eyes; slowly, he tilts his head slightly.
"I'm Amir, the King, if you don't remember... It's Isabella, correct? Isabella and Violet?" He questions with confidence like he already knew and just wanted to double-check.
The way he spoke my name had me shivering as a deeper blush took its place on my face. I give a quick nod, keeping my gaze down to not disrespect.
"I'll have my Beta explain everything to you after you shower and eat. I'll have some maids bring you something to wear, and I can get you a notebook in case you don't feel comfortable speaking to any of us yet. Or can't. I'll get someone to bath Violet." He says while getting up.
I nod my head. "This is my room, and I'll get someone to clean the one next to mine for you to sleep in. The bathroom is there, and clean towels and washcloths are already there. Your clothes will be here when you get out. Anything else?" He asks, looking at me.
I shake my head no, and he nods and walks out, leaving me alone with a sleeping Violet. I go to take a shower, giving Vi a soft pet as I walk past her. Once I get out, I quickly find clothes waiting on the bed for me next to Violet.
There are black pants with rips on the knees, a black shirt with some writing, a black jacket, and white shoes. I quickly dry off and get dressed. After I get dressed, keeping a towel around my neck to dry my hair, I wake Violet up.
Soon there's a knock on the door, startling us both. Slowly I go and open it, not sure if I want to. There stands a tall boy, as tall as Amir, with dark brown hair and storm-like eyes.
He gives me a small smile as if trying not to scare me. Then it comes back to me; he's the one who got the chains off me when I was in the cells.
"Hi, I dunno if you remember me, but I got you out of the cell with Amir, the Alpha King. I'm his Beta, Silas." He holds out his hand. Slowly, I shake it, not trying to be impolite since he saved me.
"I got you a notebook and a pencil because I know you can't speak." He says as he pulls his hand back. I smile a little and nod as he gives it to me. I turn to the first page and write 'thank you.
"Of course, anything to make you feel safe and welcomed." He says. "I'm here to answer any questions and show you around. After that, I'll take you to Amir."
I nod after that sentence. 'Where are we?' I write and show him.
"We're at the royal palace. You passed out yesterday when I got you and your familiar out of that cell." He says and points over to Violet, who is finally fully aware of our situation.
