Set day 2 (4)

<Katie's POV>

I was so excited for my second day on set. After years of wanting to become an actor my dreams had finally come true and better than i could have ever imagined i was working with Lana parrilla! After getting dressed i ran downstairs to get breakfast " Hey you guys ate everything!" "HaHa early bird gets the worm. I guess you will just have to eat cereal." my foster brother taunted. "Fine!" I said throwing cereal at him. "What's going on in here!" "Its Katies fault she threw cereal at me." "Justin clean it up! I'm sure she would only throw it if she had a reason. Katie, Shannon is going to be her in a few minutes to take you to set." "Ok. Thanks for letting me know." I have been living in foster care since i was five months old. I don't really know what happened to my parents only that they tried to give me up for adoption and it fell through. I have been living in this group home for about two years now. Its not as bad as some homes i've been in before, here they don't really care what we do as long as its safe. Probably the best thing they have here is the family program. Every kid is paired with a family and that family takes you out every once in a while and treats you like their own. I was paired with Shannon and Michael. They are both actors and they are the reason i got the part in forever. They also bought me my first camera for my youtube channel. I don't mean to brag or anything but i do have 1 million subscribers on that youtube channel thanks to them. " Hey Katie! How are you doing this morning?" Shannon asked as i jumped into the back of her SUV. "Good." " Are you guys doing anything fun today?" "Uhhh.. I heard Lana is taking us out for a cast lunch so everyone can get to know eachother better." " That sounds cool." " Well have fun. Oh and i brought you this i know what it's like fighting for food in the morning." She handed me an orange. "Thanks you know me so well!" I didn't live to far away from set so it was a quick drive. When i got this part Shannon pulled some strings and got me moved across the border to a group home run by the same company. So far canada is awesome just a bit overwhelming. "Hi, you're Katie right?" said a girl running up behind me. "Ya. You're luna right?" "I'm pretty sure i am otherwise i've had my name wrong for 13 years." "Ha, so how long have you been acting?" "Uhhh.. Well I could lie to you and tell you i've been doing it for years but i know you will find out the truth at some point. I've never acted before my uhhh parole officer thought it would look good on my report if i got involved in something. So i tried out for this part and got it." "You're parole officer! You've been arrested! What did you do?" "Ya, I mean it was nothing big. It's not like i killed someone or something. I just hit my foster dad and he pressed charges. But you have to understand he hit me first and i was just trying to protect myself." "Look i get it i've been in foster care since I was little It's been almost 12 years now." "It's nice to meet someone that understands." " Since we are on the topic do you mind if i ask how you got into the system?" "It's fine. I was put into foster care when i called the cops on my mom for doing drugs. I was 5 years old and they didn't want to risk putting me with any of my other family because they all had a record of drug use too." "I'm sorry." "It's fine i wouldn't have called the cops if i didn't think i would be better off without them. But we should get to set because if we don't stop talking were going to be late." "You're right....RACE YA!" As we ran down the sidewalk giggling i could see the beginning of a great new friendship.

"Woah slow down there. Are you two late for something ?" Lana said trying to avoid spilled coffee "Not any more." Luna said in between breaths "Tie" i said high fiving Luna "I don't know what you were doing but we got a show to shoot." We followed lana to the living room set.

<Lana's POV>

I spotted Molly sitting on a wooden crate in the corner of the room "Good Morning!" I exclaimed sitting down next to Molly. "Morning. Is that coffee?" "Yes." "Do you mind if i have a sip?" "Of course not!" i handed her the cup of coffee and watched her take a sip. A look of discussed came across her face. " is everything ok." "Ya i just hate coffee but without it there is no way i'm getting through today without a nap." "Did something happen last night?" she shrugged as if she was avoiding the question and said "I can tell you what didn't happen, Sleep." "PLACES!" screamed the director "That's our que."

<Mollys POV>

"EVERYONE STOP!" Screamed adam "the line is cut, i'm the only one that can say it!" said the extremely annoyed director "Oh shush i wrote this show. We have done this scene 20 times now and you have done nothing to change it so someone has to step in. EVERYONE TAKE 5 EXCEPT FOR LUNA AND MOLLY." I was terrified what had I done wrong. "Girls follow me." We followed adam outside Eddie came too. "Something is off about you two.Have you never acted before? It's not that your bad actors you just don't seem to have the same spirit as everyone else." Luna and i stood there silently neither one of us wanted to answer his question."Look girls i don't mean to embarrass you i just want to know so that we can help make this a better place for you to work." "I've never acted before. I auditioned for this part because the characters life is almost exactly like mine." I could tell that Luna was holding something back. "Are you in foster care?" Eddie blurted out "Well ya so is the character." It all made sense now all of us realized the same thing. That's why they hired us even if we had no prior experience. We could play these characters so well not because we are great actors but because we were just acting out our life!

(I realize that most of my chapters are super short and so many people want me to keep updating it and i want to get it out  fast but writing takes time. So i want to know if people want me to update more frequently but with shorter chapters or update less frequently with longer chapters? let me know and thank you for all the wonderful support!)
