you can bet your ass that kaoru loves matching couple things. it doesn't even matter what it is; sweaters, shoes, bracelets, you name it, he'll buy it. he grew up matching with hikaru a lot so having matching sweaters with another person he loves doesn't faze him, especially since it's kyoya.
kyoya sort of loathes it, because let's face it, matching sweaters doesn't scream kyoya. he only does it because kaoru insists on it and he won't talk to him if he doesn't wear it. (lol)
