Chpt. 16.
The next day, Forth was still not there, eventhough the lecture had been dismissed like 15 minutes ago.
Usually Forth would be there to annoy Beam out of his mind.
Although he didn't say it, he had become so used to having him around, that it was unsettling.
Beam kept looking around for the tall Engineering student, to even catch a glimpse of him.
He'd perk up even at the sound of a motorbike riding by.
He ate only half of his lunch, because he didn't feel like eating anymore.
He packed his things and went around the faculty, to find a cool place. As he searched for a quiet place he would occasionally see a couple or two, and he would feel bitter.
He finally found a big tree and sat under the shade.
At first he stared listlessly at the sky, and before he even knew he was nodding off.
When he came to, he was leaning against someone, his head on the said someone's shoulder, he jerked away, but the person seemed to be expecting the reaction, and just tugged him back .
' Sshh, it's me', Forth said as he petted Beam's hair.
Beam swatted his hand away, and moved away from him .
'Why are you here?', Beam retorted.
' I'm sorry, I'm late, Did you eat ?', Forth asked , he looked tired.
He had removed his jacket, he was wearing a simple black t-shirt, Beam tried not to stare at his biceps.
' How long have you been here?', Beam asked .
' An hour now', Forth shrugged.
Beam opened and closed his mouth a few times,' Shit! My lecture', he looked at the time, it must be almost over now.
' It's too late anyways, just go back to sleep', Forth beckoned him, towards his side.
Beam rolled his eyes,' As if'.
Forth hugged Beam from behind and brought him to his chest and adjusted him so that he had his legs on either side of Beam,' Oi' Forth let me go—-- Oi', Beam craned his neck to look at Forth who had his eyes closed. Forth placed his head on the tree trunk.
' For a little while, I promise', he said as he ran circles over Beam's forearm.
He just hoped nobody saw him, or them like this. It would be embarrassing as hell.
' Why is your t-shirt wet anyways?', Beam whispered after a while, he didn't want to ruin the quietness. He also relaxed a little, leaning slightly back against Forth.
' I ran here to see you', Beam looked confusedly at Forth.
' Why? What happened to your bike?', he asked.
Forth didn't open his eyes just leaned his head against Beam's , Beam ducked his own in return,' My Bike won't start, so I ran here'.
' What?! Are you crazy? Why would you run here? There are other transportation mediums like taxis and buses---', Beam burst out trying not to jostle Forth, but also trying to get his head away. He placed a hand over Forth's forehead to push his head away,' Stop, leaning your head on mine',Forth could sense Beam was becoming agitated.
He hid his smile in Beam's crown,' Sshh, you talk too much'.
Beam huffed but didn't say anything, Forth knew he wanted to say something back so bad but he didn't.
That made Beam seem even cuter.
Forth knew he was sulking, Beam muttered something to himself, and scoffed.
Forth kissed the side of his temple,' No funny business', Beam warned, but didn't pull away.
' Hmmm', Forth hummed, and before he knew he was out like a light, with Beam in his arms.
When he came to he found Beam nowhere to be seen, but he had something stuck to his cheek, so he plucked it off.
" You crazy Asshole, next time just call.
No need to run all the way".
Forth couldn't stop smiling the rest of the evening.
A/N: Did you guys wait long? XD Sorry, busy week, I had submissions, seminars, & a paper last weekend. we haven't had a single holiday since 2 weeks( not even Sunday T.T).The college is wearing us out, I still have pending journals, & stuff, but I could manage to update today :)
This chapter was also written way before the previous 4/5 chapters, this is my favourite chpt. along with the 2 other chapters, which are yet to come ;)
