A Lover's Journey: A NALU fanfiction

Lucy

                                                                                                Natsu's POV

It's been two weeks since Lucy, Erza, Gray and I went on a job. I'm surprised, Lucy hasn't run up to us yelling at us to go with her on a job. She's really changed since that last job. I guess everyone's changing. Gray has been stripping less and spending more time with Juvia. I think their dating but, who knows. Erza has been helping Wendy train, like the little sister she never had. And  I haven't been eating as much. 

Lucy, well, she's been very, quiet. She doesn't talk to anyone not even Mira. She HATES being near people. The poor girls' an anti-social now. She worries me. I've never told anyone but I love Lucy. With all my goddamned heart. It hurts seeing her like this.

I kept walking towards the guild with Happy flying around my head ranting about all the new fish he's eaten and Carla and everything else in his tiny brain. I sighed. I wonder how Lucy was doing. I pushed the guild doors open. Everyone was huddled in a circle. Did Gray challenge Erza?

" Hey, Flame Brain! Have you seen Lucy anywhere?"

" Why do you care Ice Prince. You just wanna ask her out!"

"No, I don't, you do!" We got into each other's faces growling and yelling at each other. Erza forced us apart. She looked upset.

" Look," she said in a hoarse voice," Lucy's gone and we can't find her. She means so much to everybody. If we lose her....." Her voice faded out. Tears strolled down her face. I had never seen Erza cry before.

" I planned on taking a job today but, I'll go look for Lucy. I miss her as much as you guys do. Gray, coming with?" He nodded.

" I miss Lucy too. She was a great friend it hurts to be without her."

Erza looked towards them," I'm coming too. We're a team, we stick together. And I don't trust you and Gray being alone. Let's head out before it gets too dark. Come along, Happy."

" Aye!"

We had gotten on the Magnolia Express, on our way to Lucy's old Mansion. We suspected she would be there, roaming the gardens. Even if it isn't her home, she still loves it there. Wendy had given some sort of medicine to help me with the train ride. I heard an unearthly sound from outside the cart.

Bang. Bang. Bang. 

It got closer every second. The constant banging. It was giving me a headache. Gray got into his fighting stance as well as Erza and me.

"What's that noise, it's not stopping!"

A heard footsteps echoing down the aisle. 

"Sorry about the inconvenience. We're having some, uh, technical difficulties." All three of us nodded. In the corner of my eye, I saw a blue creature flying towards me.

"Natsu!! It's me! Happy! We found Lucy! You need to come see her. She wanted you specifically!"

A blush covered my face. Of all people she wanted to see, me!

"We need to go home," Gray and Erza smiled at me. 

Erza wrapped her arms around me," Go to her. Happy can't carry all three of us. She needs you more than you realize. Good luck, Natsu! And maybe, tell her how you feel," She smiled and nodded at me as Happy grabbed me and we began our journey back to Lucy.
