Part 14

Zayn's POV

I look up at Ember as she swings higher and higher on the swing, giggling like a little girl.

I smile a little as she yells "Higher" But before I could fulfil that wish a hand clamps over my mouth and takes me silently into an alleyway where I see a bulky man waiting there with a smirk.

I try to fight back as they pin me against the wall but with two bulky men holding me against the wall, its kinda've hard to move.

I struggle against their steel grip but soon just give up and fall limp which makes both the men's smirk grow.

They start punching my stomach making me wheeze from the lack of air. One of them punches my eye, and I'm sure that there will be a bruise

I feel them drop me to the ground and I scratch my chin on a rough rock, making blood trickle down my chin.

I look up, trying to see what is happening and I see ember fighting off one of the men who falls to the ground while the other looks so scared I think he's about to piss his pants. I close my yes, trying to get the pain to go away and when I open them again ember is kneeling before me with a smile on her face before going unconscious and slumping to the floor.

I start freaking out and shake her furiously, trying to awaken her.

I give a sigh and run my hands through my hair as I think of what to do. My Phone! I'm such an idiot, I have my damn phone in my pocket.

I whip it out and call 999.

After explain where I am hang up the phone and call liam, hopefully he answers.

"Hello?" I hear niall answer. "Niall? Why are you answering liams phone?" I ask. "I-" I cut him off before he speaks "It doesn't matter, get the boys and go to the nearest hospital" I say not letting him respond as I hang up the phone because I hear sirens getting closer.

I jump up and run over, waving my hands frantically getting their attention.

The ambulance comes over and peremedics jump out and run over to the unconscious girl on the floor. One comes over to me and checks me out. "You have a few bruises on your stomach and a small, but deep cut on your chin. I would take it easy for a while but other than that you're fine" She says, but I don't listen.

I go over to the ambulance, ready to go In but one man stops me. "What is your relation to Ms. Payne?" He asks. "Boyfriend" I say, hesitantly because technically I'm not her boyfriend yet.

"I'm sorry sir, we cannot let anyone who is not directly related to Ms. Payne ride with her. You may follow us in a car of your own though" He says before hopping into the back and the car puts on its sirens once more before rushing to the hospital.

I didn't bring my damn car! I start sprinting down the streets to the hospital, hoping I'm going the right way.

I finally make it there in about 15 minutes and I run into the doors and up to the front desk. "Ember Payne" I say breathlessly to the 20 something women sitting at the desk.

"Ember Payne is in critical condition, no visitors until tomorrow" She says not looking up from her computer. I give a sigh before she looks up to see me with wide eyes.

She immediately puts on a flirtasious smile and leans over, showing more cleavage than before. "But I am free to comfort you until then" She says and gives and wink, trying to look sexy but honestly it looks like she had a eye spasm.

"Ummm, I'm good thanks" I say and sit in one of the uncomfortable waiting room seats just as the boys come running into the doors. Seriously? It took them that long to get here?
"Sorry guys, no visitors until tomorrow" I say sadly.

Liam's eyes fill with anger and sadness. "What happened?" He asks frantically as he shakes my shoulders. "Well, all I know is two bulky guys came up to me and beat me up in an alley until ember came and beat them up but I think it was Jack" I state and look up at liam.

"Jack? Who's Jack?" Liam says with a puzzled look on his face. My eyes widen as I come to realize that Ember never told Liam about Jack. "Ummm, I think I said to much. I will let Ember tell you the rest" I say and leave it at that.

They all take a seat and wait until we can finally see her.
