Scott's POV:
It was an early and cold Monday morning, he couldn't sleep anymore so he decided to get up and go into the kitchen to make some coffee for everyone. He read the clock and it said 4:05am. He sighs thinking damn why do I have to have these sleeping problems? Why can't I just stay asleep like everyone else? That would be so much better and I wouldn't be so tired during work. His thoughts were broken when he heard his beautiful wife Lou calling his name.
Lou, "Hey baby I heard someone in the kitchen so I thought I'd see who it is, I'm sorry to disturb you but are you okay?"
Scott sighs taking a sip of coffee knowing she was onto him, "Not really babe, I've been having a really challenging time sleeping lately and my sides have been killing me lately."
Lou looks at him and rubs his sides, "I'm so sorry baby maybe you should go get that checked out it could end up being a major problem. Are you feeling sick because you look a little pale?"
Scott nodded, "I will I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow and I think it's because I'm stressed and exhausted. I'll have some of my employees come today and stay home to relax. Baby, you should go back to sleep because you have kids to wake up in a few hours."
Lou smiles and nods kissing him on the cheek and whispering I love you to him. He goes back to his coffee and sits down reading the newspaper from yesterday as he falls asleep reading.
Lou's POV:
It was a better night for her she was staying asleep until she heard someone in the kitchen and decided to go investigate. She walks into the kitchen to see her handsome wonderful husband and starts saying his name. After Lou got his attention and they talked for a bit, he reminded her that she had to wake their girls up in a few hours because it was the first day of school. She nodded sleepily and kissed him on his cheek then went back to bed. A few hours later her alarm clocked ringed, she hurried up and shut it off careful not to wake Grandpa and Lisa who were asleep down the hall.
Lou decided to wake Holly up first since it takes her the longest to wake up and get ready, then she went over to the other side of the pink and purple room that Holly and Katie share to wake Katie up. Those two both hop out of bed and runs everywhere to get ready. She walks down the hall while the other two are getting ready to go and she wakes up her oldest daughter Georgie. After she gets all three of her girls up and ready she walks into the kitchen to make breakfast and notices that her husband fell asleep while reading a newspaper she laughs a little then after making breakfast, she wakes him up gently and places a plate of food in front of him and three more plates where the girls normally sit. She makes her own plate and sits down with them, starting a conversation with her family.
Lou smiles at her girls and husband then turns to Georgie, "Okay so it's your first day of high school and it's going to go really well, after school you have band practice and after that I really need you home to help with the horses." She notices Georgie nodding as she's eating and says, "yes ma'am".
Scott looks at his family and says, "Holly, you will be riding on the bus with Georgie for your first day of middle school and Georgie make sure that your sister doesn't get bullied." He watches Georgie nod, he said this because there were kids bullying Holly at the end of school last year. He turns to Katie, "Ms. Katie girl, your mommy and I will be going to the school to drop you off for your first day of school."
The little family of five all finish their breakfast and gets ready to go. Then right before Georgie and Holly get onto the bus Lou pulls out her phone and makes sure that Katie gets in the picture with her backpack and her First Day of Kindergarten sign. Lou says, "1....2....3...., say cheese guys". She snaps the picture then looks at it to notice that out of nowhere Adam somehow snuck into the picture wrapping his arms around Georgie's waist, she sighs and looks at him, "Adam can you please step out? I'm trying to get at least one good picture of all three of my girls." She snaps about 10 more all with her girls looking at her and smiles. She watches as Georgie gets on the bus with her boyfriend Adam and her sister Holly.
Katie's POV:
Mom was taking a lot of pictures again this morning......what else is new? Mommy always does that although us girls never like it, we only let her because we know it makes mommy happy. Anyways we got to Hudson Elementary School, where I'm starting school at. I start getting nervous until I see my friends Sam, Nate, and Gabby so I run over to them as my parents run after me. I finally get over to them and start talking to them as our parents talk away to each other. This will be a really fun school year because Sam and Nate will be in my classes, at least I'm not completely alone.
The bell rings and we head into the Kindergarten room and Sam, Nate, and I meet our teacher again. We put our backpacks and lunch boxes where they are supposed to go and start our first day of school. My mom is taking a lot more pictures again.... of course, she is. Then she walks out with daddy and Uncle Jake, that's what I call him since he has been around since I was born.
Jake's POV:
I have been missing Mallory so much lately, I have been wondering how she has been doing in South Carolina. I know that Amy has told me that Badger has been in a lot of trouble with the law and Mallory has been fighting with him a lot more. I really wish she wouldn't be in that kind of situation, I love her so much and I wish she would just leave him and come back to Alberta. I really want her to give me a second chance, I hope someday she will come back to me.... Just then I see her sister Lou with Scott and Katie. I watch as Katie comes running over to my sons Sam and Nate, and my daughter Gabi, we also call her Mal sometimes. (My daughter's name is Gabriela Mallory Marion Anderson, I named her after Mallory). The kids start talking so then the three of us start talking and I ask Lou how Mallory is doing. She says that she's doing good but on the verge of divorcing Badger because he still likes to get himself into trouble. I hear her say that Mallory is coming back for a visit sometime this week and Lou said I should come over on Wednesday so the kids could have a playdate.
I accept the offer but I'm lost in thought hoping that I'll see Mallory and convince her to divorce her husband, since he isn't good enough for her. She needs to live a happy life with someone she could trust who actually loves her. Just then the bell for school rang and the three of us walk our kids to their classrooms and then leaves so that we could all do what we needed to do. I walk over to the preschool room and take some more pictures of Gaby and then leaves her to play and learn with her classmates and her teacher. Jake gets in his car and drives to work distracted about Mallory that he doesn't notice that there is a drunk driver swerving into his lane.........
