Jade POV.
"Omg it's huge!" I exclaim
"Ya it's pretty cool right?" My dad responds while parking our car into the big driveway.
I just nod in response while examining the front yard.

While my mom is busy inspecting the neighbors, I decide to go and take a look at my new house.
Even though I already saw it online, I was eager to see my room in person.

It was a lot bigger than it looked online. I loved the view of the neighborhood I got through my window.

This neighborhood seems safe enough. Our last one was sketchy and I swear everyone there had a problem. After telling them that we're moving, they thought that we were crazy and accused us of going to a sacred place. I mean, it's just London. Plenty of  people live here.
What could possibly be wrong with this place?

**

"Ok dad, I'm going on a walk!" I yell

"Ok, be safe!"

After staying in a house with no Wifi and nothing to do, it gets boring pretty fast. I decide on going on a walk as I could take a look at the neighborhood and get some exercise.

The smell of London's all-time wet weather engulfs me into a sudden
calming mood.

It's crazy how one day I'm in sunny old Florida and then suddenly find myself in London. When I found out we were moving, I was shocked. I just wasn't expecting it at all. I lived in Florida for all my life. The friends I had were the friends I grew up with. All my childhood memories are locked away in our old house. The feeling of leaving your whole life behind is indescribable.

Although moving came with many downsides, I can't say I'm not excited for the new challenges. Hopefully with a new environment I can organize my life more.

Of course my mood changes as my phone keeps on ringing from one of those stupid telemarketers.

"Hi would you like to-"

"No" I say and end the call.

Why can't they just leave us alone?

I decide I should better head back before my mom yells at me.

**

"Have a good day at school sweety"

"Ya, see you later mom"

"Make sure to make new friends"

"Mhm"

"Get good grades"

Omg will she ever shut up

"I'm getting late, gotta go!"

"Ok bye have a good day!" she yelled as I was walking down the street as fast as I could. Once I turned the sidewalk, I regained my breath and continued my walk.

Well that was fun

Luckily, my school was close enough to walk to. As long as I started on time, I would never get late to school. No traffic or whatever to deal with.

As I stood in front of my new school, I noticed all the little groups of people. My anxiety rose up immediately. How am I supposed to join one of those? It was obvious everyone was close. How awkward would it be for me to say, "Hi, I just moved here. Can I hang out with you even though I have no idea who you are so I don't seem like a loser?" Obviously, I wouldn't say that but still.

Let's just get this day over with.
