Jade POV
Does anyone seem to notice me? I just got out of the counselors office with my schedule and have absolutely no idea where any of these classes are. I should have accepted her offer of having another student show me my classes. Now I seem like a loser trying to find my classes.
Frightened by a sudden touch of movement, I turn around and see a pair of friendly eyes.
"Hi I'm Abby! You seem a little lost. Need any help?"
"Uhh ya. Do you know where any of these classes are?"

Abby and I ended up only having two classes together; English and Choir. During lunch, she introduces me to her group of friends: Mackenzie, Leah, Jake, Olivia, and Liam. They seem very close.
"So Jade, this Saturday we're going to a museum. Wanna come?" Mackenzie asks me.
"Ya I would love to. What time?"

Fortunately I like my new school better than my old one. Although I miss my friends, this school was much more friendly than my old one. After going to school for a week, I made many new friends.
"Hey Jade, nice to see you again"
"Ya same to you Leah"
"So, ready to go in to the museum?
"Ya lets go!"

So far, the museum was very interesting. I learned many things.
"Ooh roses! I love roses!" I said.
"Don't stare at the rose for longer than 5 minutes" Liam told me.
"What? Why?"
"There's a legend that whenever someone stares at the rose for longer than 5 minutes, one petal will fall"
"So? All petals fall eventually"
"Ya but this is a sacred rose. If all the petals fall of the rose, the world will end."
"Ha good one Liam. Don't you think it's a bit early for scary stories? Halloween is in two months."
"No Jade, it's true. He's not joking." Jake said
"What do you mean? That's so stupid. You guys really believe that?" I asked.
"Jade it's true. Believe us." Abby said.
"Why would they put the rose on display if it's going to make the world end?"
"The world is going to end eventually so we are required to put the rose on display according to history."
"Guys chill. I'm gonna look at this for five minutes and nothings going to happen. Watch." I said.
"JADE STOP!" Abby said while pulling me aside.
"Guys I think it's better if we leave..."
