08BEING AN OUTCAST at school wasn't something new to her. She liked the company of no other than herself, enjoyed the absence of cheap gossip and pointless conversations.
She'd sit at the end of the cafeteria, head hunched over her tray of food, eyes not even once looking up, none of it interested her enough to.
Then she'd see him, gracefully making his way to the all popular table with a sweet smile plastered on his face. He'd circle his arm around his girl's shoulder; press a kiss on her cheek. She'd laugh, push him away jokingly while telling him it's too embarrassing. She was too shy.
Maybe, he caught her staring a few times, stared back momentarily before crooking a smile. She didn't return one; instead, she scowled and looked back down at her food.
Siyeon hated him.
Because the fact that they were a little close as children didn't give him the right to shoot pitiful glimpses her way. Did he think she was a weird loner that kept to herself and had no friends because he abandoned her?
She was the one that chose to stay away, to not meddle with his affairs.
But that wasn't what everyone else thought. When he came to speak to her she'd refuse him, sometimes yell at him to go away. A resentful girl she was. Is.
Little did she know what kind of thoughts went through his head when it came to her.
