Blue String of Fate: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
"Buh!" You babbled at the glass tank, smacking a hand on its surface. "Buh buh!"
"(Y/N), get away from there! No, no, no!" Your older sister, Wendy, gasped as she reached out and ran over to you, dropping the bags of dog food she was holding. She came over and swept you from the shelf you were on. How you had ended up there, she didn't know, and she certainly worried for how sneaky a one-year old baby got around a pet store. From the crib to the shelf.
She will never know.
"Oh my god, how on Earth did you get to the top shelf?! I swear, Mike's gonna kill me if he finds out about this." Your sister muttered as she stared hard at your face.
Your wide (E/C) eyes were staring back at hers in curiosity.
"Buh!" You babbled again, placing your hand over her face, giggling.
Wendy sighed and held you closer to her chest. "I swear, you'll be the death of me, little sis."
As if understanding her, you giggled again and clapped twice. You always did enjoy being with your sister.
"Now can you tell me why you were out of your crib, young lady?" Wendy playfully scolded. You only spoke gibberish in response, not even paying attention to her anymore as your attention had moved back to the glass tank.
"Bah buh bah!" You squealed waving your tiny hands in it's direction. Your sister quirked an eyebrow at this behavior and turned around to face what you were suddenly intrigued in.
"You wanna see the baby turtles, (Y/N)?" She asked you, readjusting you in her arms. You squealed in answer, leaning forwards towards the tank where four baby turtles lay. "Alright then, let's go."
Wendy walked on over towards the shelf where she had just picked you up from and held you close to the tank you were previously observing.
Next to the snakes and the guinea pigs, were four baby turtles, all in the same glass tank. Although some with lighter skin colors than the rest, the four were believed to be from the same nest. At least, that's what the important people told Wendy.
Leaning closer to the glass, you watched with pure interest the small creatures walk around the small tank. The turtles swam in the small make-shift pond inside the tank and rested on the tiny island. They were so adorable!
You giggled as you watched one of them waddle towards the glass where you were.
This one was a pretty light green turtle, who's skin greatly contrasted that of it's "siblings".
