Levi's pov
"Erwin...I'm not who you think I am... I've done some bad things..." I looked at Erwin. His green eyes were locked with mine.

"Levi, what are you talking about?" His voice was soft and caring. I didn't deserve it, I didn't deserve any of his kindness.

"Erwin...I'm...I'm a criminal. My full name is Levi Ackerman and I was in a gang called the Wings of Freedom. I've been running from law for the past four years. When I first joined the group, I got my parents and best friends killed. I started some bad habits that I'm still having trouble with. Erwin, I carry a gun in my car....I'm not proud of my past..."

Erwin just looked at me. I could tell he was both confused and a look of you're joking right? "Levi...I don't understand. What are you talking about?"

"I'm dangerous, Erwin but please you have to help me. I didn't murder my parents. Reiner did it, I swear. That guy I was on the phone with, he's the leader and he hates when we don't listen to him. He will find me and he will kill me when he does. Please, Erwin you have to help me. I need to keep a low profile for a while and get out of the news."

He gave me a surprise hug, tears threatened to spill. I will not show him anymore of my weaknesses, I will not. "I will never let anyone hurt you. We will protect you from him, but please Levi, you have to give me a description of this male."

I nodded. "His name is Reiner Braun. He has short blond hair and hazel eyes. He has very defined facial features and broad shoulders, he's as tall as you. He also has his very intimidating expression he gives everyone. Please don't report this to the police, Erwin. They will ask where you got that information and I don't want to get you in trouble for housing a criminal."

"Thank you, Levi. That info will not get out to anyone but Nanaba, Mike and Hanji. They will help keep you safe while I'm at work." Erwin let me go. I slouched in the passenger side seat.

"Actually Erwin, I would like to get a job. Seeing as if I'm gonna have to keep a low profile for a while, I might as well try to fit in with the rest of you folks." I suggested. I needed the money, in case I have to make a quick get away.

"But Levi..." He hesitated but then nodded, agreeing. "Okay, I will agree to this. Under one condition."

"You have to be fucking kidding me. What do you want from me? My virginity?" I tried to make it seem like a joke, but it failed miserably.

"What? No, god no...." I could see Erwin's ears turning red. "I was gonna say, my one condition is that you allow me to take you to work and to pick you up. I want someone keeping an eye on you at all times, in case he ever finds you." He said that last part with so much hatred in his voice, it kinda scared me.

"Erwin, I am not a child. I can watch after myself. I was in a gang for most of my life, I can handle him. But whatever, I agree to your stupid conditions. Can we go now, I'm starving." I rolled my eyes at him.

"Yes we can go. I know the perfect place we can eat." He smiled and pulled out onto the road.

I rubbed my hands together nervously. I can't believe I just told him. Oh my god, he's gonna tell the police. What should I do if he does? Hurt him? Run away again? I was thinking a whole lot of bad things that could go wrong, but he reached over with his free hand and held mine, to calm me down. I really don't deserve his kindness, or anyone's kindness for that matter.

Erwin drove for a while till he got to a small little cafe/diner that was open this late. The place was called Wall Maria. It was placed in between bigger looking buildings. On the window there was a Now Hiring sign. It looked pretty trust worthy, maybe I could get a job here.

"How's this place sound? They have to best burgers ever, I promise you that." He asked, unbuckling his seat belt.

"It's really nice, I love it. But...we're a but overdressed for a place like this...I'd feel awkward."

"Don't worry about it. The people who work here are super friendly and they really don't care what you wear as long as its appropriate."

"Oh okay...Hey Erwin. Do you think I could work here? Do you think I could get hired here?" I asked, looking back at the building.

"Well guess we better go in and see. Ymir and Kirsta are always trying to look for new employees." He got out of the car, walking around to open my door. I thanked him and we walked in. There was a bell above the door that rang when it opened. A girl with long blond hair and blue eyes, popped out from behind a corner smiling.

"Hi, welcome to Wall Maria. Your normal seat Mr. Smith?" She was very happy and bounced a lot, kinda annoying but over all really nice.

"Yes please, Ms. Krista. That would be very much appreciated." God, is there ever a time when he isn't polite and hot? Wait what?

"Follow me." She led us to a small booth. The seats were a pretty blue color. In the middle of the rectangle shaped table was a small potted plant. I loved it already. "I see you brought someone that aren't your friends. Hi, I'm Krista. Its really nice to meet you." She smiled at me.

"Hi, I'm Levi." I shook her hand.

"Oi, Krista! You better not be flirting with Mr. Smith again." Another woman walked out. She had short brown hair and brown eyes. She threw her arms around the blond girl.

"Of course I'm not, Ymir. Calm down. Levi, this is Ymir my girlfriend. Ymir, Erwin's friend Levi." She giggled. I shook hands with the other female. "What can I get you two?"

"My usual, please Krista." Erwin smiled. She turned to me.

"I'll just have what ever he is. Thank you. Also, I'm looking for a job and I saw your sign on the window. So I was just wondering about that."

"Oh my gosh, finally! We have been looking for someone for a few months now. Ymir, will please get Levi the forms to fill out?" Kirsta was extremely happy. Ymir came back with a packet of papers and a pen. "We just need your information, emergency contacts and all that jazz. Thank you for choosing Wall Maria!" She left to put our orders in.

I looked down at the forms and started to panic. Oh no, what if they find out? What if they send me to jail? What if... Erwin reached over for my hand. "Levi, calm down. Your hyperventilating, deep breaths Levi. You can trust them, they won't tell anyone." His voice was soft and caring, I was able to relax properly.

"Thank you." I nodded. I filled out my full name, my birthday, my social security number and all that personal information. I filled Erwin out as my emergency contact.

Krista came back with two plates of burgers and fries with chocolate milkshakes. "Here you are. I'll take the papers if your done."

"Thank you Krista, it looks amazing." Erwin smiled, handing her my papers. I was a bit nervous but thank goodness for food.

"Thank you, Krista." I managed a little smiled. The burger was huge, so I instantly when for the milkshake.

Erwin smiled and ate his burger. "You should really eat your food Levi, a milkshake is not gonna fill you up."

"Don't tell me what to do, Erwin." I glared at him. I could hear Ymir and Krista snickering.

"I can tell you what to do if I wish, Levi." Erwin raised an eyebrow and smirked.

"Really? I don't think you can." I leaned forward, throwing a fry at him. I could help but laugh.

"Two can play that game, Levi." He smiled, throwing a fry with ketchup at me.

"Alright love birds, no throwing food in my diner." Ymir called over to us.

"I'm not his... lover..." I don't what to call it. Are we friends.... pretend boyfriends...? I looked at Erwin, his face and ears were bright red. He was blushing behind his hands. "Erwin...why are you....ya know...." I asked silently.

"No reason, please excuse me." He got up and I watched him take Ymir and Krista to the back room.
