"Its quite alright." She forgave him cheerfully, as she intertwined her fingers with his once more. His face became a hot mess, as his entire face went red.
"Are you su-sure?" He stuttered, earning a small giggle from [Y/n]. She nodded in response, to which he nodded back awkwardly. Sparks traveled up his hand, spreading into his arm as he gripped onto her hand. In that moment, he thought, he couldn't find any way to show her the affection he has for her. No matter what he did, protected her, helped her, comforted her, bought her her favorite thing in the world, it wouldn't be enough to thank her for all she's done. Her existence is too expensive, that not even the world could pay it off, yet she was so fragile and could easily break. He felt that he had to protect her some way, he didn't want to let her out of his sights, but he decided he didn't want to be that clingy. He cleared his throat, as he came to a stop. [Y/n] kept walking, only to stop as she felt his arm pull back on her arm. She raised an eyebrow questioningly.
"...Are we a thing now?" Bryce asked, his nervousness getting to his head. She thought for a moment, then shook her head. He nodded. He had the perfect thing to do to ask her.
They headed towards where the front entrance was to the hotel, exchanging a farewell with the lady at the front desk. She mouthed good luck at Bryce as he turned away.
He shrugged it off, though he knew he would need the luck. [Y/n ] didn't seem one bit upset, nor uncomfortable, holding his hand.
Crossing the street, they came close to the small party area that the Vidcon party was being held. He looked around, seeing what he was looking out for. Yes! It was in the perfect spot too. Now, time to come up with an excuse.
He stopped moving, letting go of her hand. She turned once more, to raise her eyebrow, yet again, in confusion.
"You go on ahead, I'll catch up in a moment or two." Bryce gave an honest, sweet smile, as [Y/n] nodded.
"I'll wait for you at the entrance." She stated, walking away as she swayed her hips. She was too adorable.
He jogged up to the place he had been looking for, his eyes glistening with fascination. He stared at the pretty displays of what he had looked for.
Walking over to a certain section, he grabbed a bouquet of [Y/n]'S favorite flowers, mixed with a bunch of pretty red and pink roses. Yes, he was indeed at a flower shop. He was buying flowers for [Y/n].
He pulled out his phone, clicking on her contact, before texting her.
B - Bryce
Y - Y/nB - meet me on the top of the building the party is being held in. You should be able to get up but steps that are hidden some where on the second floor.
Y - Alright. I'm not gonna question why, I'll just go. Meet you there soon.He let out a shaky breath, as he quickly paid for the flowers, and glanced around. Yes! Thankfully, a small store stood nearby, which was where you could buy candy and such.
Jogging into the store, he grabbed a heart shaped box with a bunch of mouth-watering chocolates. He paid, then jogged back to the party building. Thankfully, he had a bag filled with the stuff he bought. It wasn't a plastic one either, just a normal shopping bag so she wouldn't become suspicious.
He quickly went inside, dodging people and exchanging quick 'hi's' with friends. He jogged up the stairs leading to the roof. He quickly opened the door, before seeing [Y/n] sitting near the ledge, her feet dangling off the side as she studied the sky. His sudden movements, which made loud noises, scared her. She turned to see him, and to her relief, found it was only him. He sat next to her, as they stared up at the sky. An awkward silence stretched itself between them, before Bryce cleared his throat.
"You see those stars right there?" He asked, pointing at a certain bunch of stars. She nodded. "It looks like a chicken leg. Man, I'm hungry now."
She chuckled as he sighed in disappointment.
"See that one? It looks like one giant star made out of tiny stars." She pointed at one big section, which did indeed make a star.
They continued to point out little images the stars made, chuckling at the small jokes that they made every few minutes or so.
They wasted about half the time before the party would start, just looking at stars.
Bryce looked around, seeing that one section of stars looked like what he wanted it to look like. He thanked the Lord.
"See that section right there?" He pointed at the section. "It looks like a heart." She smiled, as she stared up in amazement at the section of stars.
They turned to look into eachothers eyes, as they seemed to be stuck in a gaze.
Bryce cleared his throat, once more, as he sat up. He helped [Y/n] up.
"What is that for?" She asked, gesturing to the bag. Bryce took a quick glance at it.
"Oh." He walked over and opened it, before walking back over to her with the flowers and chocolates.
He got on one knee, no no no, he wasn't proposing to her, as he held out the chocolates to her. She took them into her soft hands and inspected them, before opening it up. She took one of the chocolate delights, as her eyes lit up.
"Chocolates?" She questioned, before looking at the item in his arms. He nodded, before speaking.
"I know you said we weren't a thing, but...", he began, as she covered her mouth with her hands. "I wanted to know if, just maybe, you would give me the honor of calling you my girlfriend?" He asked, holding up the flowers. She gasped, before nodding and practically tackling him to the ground, covering his adorable cheeks with love-filled kisses.
