Once they left the wards, Remus pulled out an old tattered washcloth. Instantly realizing it was a portkey he grabbed a part of it, while muttering about "bloody portkeys".

They appear in the kitchen of number 12, Harry surprisingly landing on his feet. "Well cub, it seems whatever creature you are has impeccable balance" Remus states.
"Well I have cat ears and a tail, I can see perfectly even in the dark, and I'm pretty sure I can purr, so why wouldn't I have the balance and grace of a cat," Harry replies sarcastically.
Suddenly, Harry's arms are full of a bushy-haired Hermione. "Missed you too 'mione, but I would also like to breathe," he chuckled. She lets go, blushes, and mumbles an apology. And then she gasps, noticing the cat ears.
"Harry, how did you get cat ears? Where are your glasses? Is that a tail?" she asks in one breath, inadvertently saying it loud enough to alert the two teenagers in the living room of their presence.
"I don't know how I got them, but Remus said something about a creature inheritance. I don't need them anymore. And yes, it is a tail." he answers, tail wrapping around his torso as he answered the last question. "Also no, you can't study me, so don't ask"
"Hey mate" Ron greets as he walks in. "cool you got a creature inheritance! Wait you need to go to gringotts to take an inheritance test and see what creature you are."
"That's a good idea Ron and he can also visit the familial vaults for information regarding whatever creature he is." Remus said.
"Can you and I go now Remus? And no Hermione you can't come."he holds a hand up to stop her from protesting "There's probably a reason not even Remus knows what I am, for example what if they didn't want anyone to know about them."
"Sure we can go now" Remus interrupted sensing it would likely have ended up pretty badly if he hadn't.
