(Y/N) was planning to escape from his house at night, the time when his caretaker isn't as active as usual. Even though he has to be watched at all moments, slimming his chances of escaping, his caretaker is thick headed enough to leave him alone with no signs of wanting to go back to check on him.

It finally hit nighttime, and (Y/N)'s heart pounded with excitement and adrenaline. He was going to escape through his bedroom window, taking off the metal bars separating him from the world. He removed the bars with a screwdriver his caretaker had stupidly left in the open, and he quietly placed the bars down and crawled out his window. The nighttime breeze was fuelling his excitement as he leaped from the window into shrubbery below.

The shrubs softened the landing, but it still caused (Y/N)'s legs to be a bit shaken up. He looked toward's his caretaker's bedroom window to make sure she didn't hear the dull thud on the ground below.

When the coast was clear, he crawled out of the shrubbery and stood up, grinning widely at the view in front of him. This time, the forest in front of his house was looking down on him, not him looking down at the forest from his window. He had just been outdoors for a couple of seconds and he's already smitten. He felt a sort of calming wave wash over him when the nighttime breeze pushed through his hair and hit his skin.

He couldn't go back, not now. He'll probably stay in that forest, yeah, that's a good idea, (Y/N) thought to himself.

While heading into the forest, he looked around, paranoid that someone saw him. He occassionally felt eyes on his figure, but they'd soon disappear, and every once in a while, he'd hear a bush or tree leaves rustling at him, telling him harshly to go away. But, he isn't leaving just yet, he wants to explore the outside world for a bit before returning.

He saw the moon shining through a small parting in the trees, and headed over to look up and gaze at the moon. When he looked up, he swore he was a figure soaring through the air, a figure that may or may not have looked vaguely like a female. He shook his head, erasing the figure from his thoughts and the yells of two people snapped his attention to the right.

(Y/N) couldn't make out the figures of the people, so he settled for just eavesdropping on their conversation. He realized one of the figures was the figure that was jumping in the air, so he became way more interested. Person number one began speaking, "Grell, I am extremely busy with preparations for something going on tonight, could you just go away and leave me alone for one day?" Person two laughed someone insanely, "No can do, Bassy! I can't go more than two seconds without looking at my Prince Charming!" Person one loudly sighed, and that's when (Y/N) decided to tune out the conversation and dwell in his thoughts, what kind of names are Bassy and Grell? Are they lovers? (Y/N) just shrugged to himself and decided to head back home for the night, even though he would not enjoy being trapped inside again.

The figures talking in the distance must've heard him walking away as one of them suddenly said, "Did you hear that?" And they both stayed deathly quiet. (Y/N) didn't realize their silence as he continued walking, occasionally stepping and crunching dry leaves on the ground.

Suddenly, someone grabbed (Y/N) from behind and growled into his ear, "Who are you and why are you here?" (Y/N) squirmed around and said in a pleading, croaky sounding voice, "Pl-please don't kill me! I was out for a walk a-and I ended up here!" The person seemed to buy it as they set him down and (Y/N) turned to the perpetrator with a frightened look. The stranger then said, "Well if you don't have any business here... LEAVE." (Y/N) looked up at the tall, clothed in black man and nodded his head quickly before scampering off like a dog who just got reprimanded.

Approaching his home, he realized the sun was peeking over the horizon. He froze a bit startled because this meant his caretaker was going to be up soon and be extremely upset that (Y/N) escaped from his room. He hurried towards the window he fell out of earlier, grabbed a hold of the vines growing conveniently near the window and began to climb his way back up. He replaced the iron bars back into their place, hid the screwdriver, and laid in bed as if nothing had occurred. As he laid in bed, he remembered the facial features of the man who had threatened him, the only thing that made him shudder out of fear? The man's unnatural red eyes.
