(m/n) quirked an eyebrow but decided not to question her further. He hesitantly returned to the window and quickly glanced at it, still a bit shaken. If someone would come to check the house, he'd be questioned as to who he is. He really doesn't want to have that kind of encounter, especially when the person who saw him might want to kill him. Heaving a sigh, he backed away from the window. He wandered his way back to the kitchen where his caretaker was clearing off the table. She looked up at him and smiled, to which (m/n) shyly smiled back. Satisfied, she got back to work.
Three loud knocks interrupted the quiet atmosphere and a sense of dread quickly filled (m/n), he wasn't ready to die today, not yet. The caretaker hesitated before going to open the door, and her face instantly brightened up, "Sir (l/n)! You have returned!" (m/n) froze, just one simple thought ran through his head, 'wait... what?"
