Flashes of light...
Sounds of Thunder...
All in Space...
She couldn't focus. Her mind stretched to one thought to another. But one was winning.
Zarkon.
Her former pilot. Her former... paladin. Her mind flashed back to a time, a long time ago, where there was no wars, and before Zarkon had been corrupted by quintessence. Altea was still a beautiful planet. It all changed when a comet cra-
-SH! She had lost her focus and went crashing to the Galra spaceship. Shiro let out a groan, but shook his head and tried to ready her, but it was too late.
Zarkon came walking towards them, slowly, menacingly. With his bayard in his hand.
No.
It was Shiro's bayard. Zarkon had lost the right to be her paladin when he waged war. When he wasn't the Zarkon she and everyone else had known. This was a monster.
She let out a defiant roar, but it was hopeless. He came closer.
Closer.
Closer.
In desperation she looked around if any of the other lions were could help them. Green, that lithe, intelligent one was helping Yellow. Of course, Yellow was big and strong in size, but really wasn't that graceful. She recalled a number of times when Gyrgan had tripped over pebbles. And tables.
Blue was fighting like water, smooth, but mercilessly battering. Freezing everything in her path, and when the Blue pala- Lance sent a Galra Battleship tumbling into another one, and they went down, along with some other few hundred Fighter jets.
But Red was...
...Streaking right towards Zarkon! She was...
...was...
With despair Black realized...
...that Red wasn't going to make it.
Red seemed to know that too, yet she sped up faster in desperation to save her leader, while her paladin, Keith was desperate to save Shiro.
Black, desperate now, seeing Zarkon was headed even closer to her, did her final resort.
Teleportation.
She reached into her paladin's mind and found...
...flashes of pain, but mostly his regret that he couldn't reunite the Holts together. Black immediately focused on this Matt Holt and projected her energy to transport Shiro to Matt.
Shiro let out a gasp and Black felt surprise in his mind, and in his head she heard, Holy Quiznak, what the hell is happening?!
After Shiro got teleported, she saw a streak of purple and red and then...
Darkness.
