The prostitute Saoirse found Jack the Ripper killing and interrupted him was Elizabeth Stride. He only had time to server her neck, and that's canon. No one can speculate why he didn't finish the job.
Next morning, Saoirse wouldn't care if the world was ending in molten lava. She'd buy a new phone. To think all her games, apps, songs, friends' numbers... All flushed down the toilet.
Nothing worse could happen in her life, except if it had to do with Agnes. That was a struck of sheer bad luck. She spent the whole night cursing and had to drink a bottle of vodka to cope.
Now her head was splitting with the morning sun and she was wearing the same clothes of last night, since she didn't bother to change.
So many shopping options in Dublin! Too bad Agnes had to study for a new important Literature exam and couldn't come.
"Sheer struck of bad luck." her radar screamed.
Saoirse had been walking distracted and now was in a street she had never seen before. But how? Even though Dublin was a big city, she knew it well, as well as she knew Agnes.
Where was she?
There was only a shop, very small and classy, with a flashy façade screaming 'Mobile phones. We have them, we have it all!'
So strange.
Saoirse shrugged and entered. An old lady was behind the counter. And there were so many models Saoirse had never even known that existed!
"May I help you?"
She had such sweet face and voice! And Saoirse could see the woman wasn't Irish. She didn't carry the brogue.
"Yes. I need a new mobile."
The old lady stared at her with a strange smile. Discomfitting.
"What do you need it for, my dear?"
"Well... Mostly for apps, my music, calling friends... I can't live without technology, you know... It's like living in the Dark Ages!"
Saoirse laughed. The old lady didn't.
"I have just the one. Here."
And she showed Saoirse the most beautiful, the most compact mobile phone she'd ever seen. It was so silver and shiny.
"But it's so tiny. Will it be able to execute all the functions I need?"
The woman smiled.
"It'll take you to places you have never imagined."
Strange answer.
"How much is it? I only have a part time job, an iPhone price is out of the question."
"Well... Since you need it so much, and you have no idea how bad, I'll give it to you."
Saoirse was perplexed.
"But lady, I couldn't!"
"I insist."
The red-head got suspicious.
"Why? What's the catch?"
"None. It's because you need it."
"Okay... How does it work?"
"You press this button, here. See? There are only two buttons."
A mobile phone that could do all that and had just two buttons? she asked herself.
"This phone is like no other. Enjoy yourself, Saoirse."
"Thanks..."
And Saoirse left the store, musing. She pressed the first button and the screen flashed. Green letters appeared, saying:
