The rain worsened and turned into sleet, but that didn't damp Saoirse's happiness. She ran to a desert spot of the Treves's property and laughed to her heart's content. It would be her first Christmas in the 19th Century.

"What are you doing, my love?" asked John.

"Thinking," she evaded his kiss, playfully.

"Of?"

"Of this year. It was the happiest time of my life."

He tried to smile a wet smile.

"Don't you miss home?"

"Home is here. You are home. I love you."

"I love you more," he said, kissing her. It just felt so... right. So... perfect.

Her mobile started vibrating. She took it out of her bodice while John stared, confused.

"And how could I have not noticed that in there?" he asked, half playful, half serious.

"You probably aren't attentive to details, like most men," she joked.

Saoirse looked at the phone and read.

Phase II Complete - Final

Play song? Y/N

Saoirse chose "yes" more out of curiosity.

Then, Lindsay Stirling started playing the violin.

While John Legend started singing, Merrick stared at the contraption, confused and discomfited. But Saoirse called him to dance before he could think and before they could miss much more of the song.

To his surprise, he danced. John felt as if he was gliding on a cloud with Saoirse, listening to that beautiful music of her time... He had no idea he could dance, let alone take the lead, boldly like that. Now anything was possible, especially dancing on cloud nine.

The bright stars turned the sleet into shooting stars. It was like dancing in their own private Milky Way.

The song finished. Too soon. They gazed at each other, their breaths forming small, misty clouds.

She wanted to say something.

But the damn mobile started beeping. Loudly.

Suddenly, illogically, John Merrick started to disappear.

"What? What the-- NO!" Saoirse screamed.

"SAOIRSE! SAOIRSE!!! What is happening??"

But it was Saoirse who was disappearing, trying to grab his hand.

When she came to, she was in the streets of Dublin, she was almost run over by at least a dozen cars. The same street she had been looking for the first time, with all the shopping malls, but only found the crazy bat who gave her the mobile.

"John! John! John!" she was literally screeching.

Then, she remembered Hetty. And Agnes. And ran with her flat shoes and her Victorian Age clothes all over the streets, with everyone staring.

She finds the house. A guy, with dark messy hair and green eyes opens the door.

"Saoirse?!"

"So you really moved, Gerard! Where's Agnes?"

"Where have you been? Why are you dressed like that? Is there a Renaissance fair around?"
