"..not that I don't like Leonardo DiCaprio, It's just that I don't find his acting very good. When people think of him they think of him as Leonardo but with.." he paused. "..uh with Johnny Depp for example, people remember his as Jack Sparrow because that's the role he played." Tom's logic didn't make much sense, especially to Harriet who loved Leonardo DiCaprio and would probably marry him if she could. We were back on the road. Tom recovered so quickly that the rest of us were somewhat cautious when the doctor said he was perfectly okay to get back on the road. After another 2 months of waiting around the hospital and visiting Tom each day, we were finally back in the kombi. The 11 of us were over the moon that Tom was able to come to Melbourne with us after all. It took a lot of convincing from his mum, as she was extremely weary of his condition, but in the end it came down to the fact that she trusted us. She'd known about most of us since year 8 and I'd been with both Tom and James almost every day at 7am for the past 4 years. It also helped that Jenny was with us at that point, Mrs Hartwig loved Jenny.

"Everyone's comfy back there?" yelled Oscar, over the music. "Shut up i'm getting a phone call! Turn the music down would ya?!" Harriet shouted back. Everyone listened as she put it on speaker and answered the phone. It was a Melbourne number.
"..Hello?"
"AHHH HARRIET HOW ARE YOU IT'S BEEN SO LONG I MISS YOU HEAPS!!" Ella screeched into the phone.
Ella Brown.
Tall, slim, beautiful. She literally left school in year 10 to be a model. She did this course in year 8 and said it was fun, and then she got in with all these fancy people and then became a bloody model. I wasn't surprised in the slightest.
"Oh my gosh, Ella it's been like 2 years. How is the modelling going??" Harriet asked, they talked for about 20 minutes before Ella offered for us to stay at her huge place when we got to Melbourne. We hesitated, we would have to cancel the bookings at the hotel and we hadn't seen her in ages.

"We'd love to."

"Okay guys just text me when you guys are close and I'll give you the address. Kisses, bye!!" She hung up before Harriet could even say thanks.
"Fuck yes we're staying at a rich chick's place", Jude said rather excited.
"Jude, Ella hates your guts, you know this", I said and his expression saddened. "Look guys we just got out of paying heaps of money to stay at a hotel and we get to stay at a rich friend's house for free. The least you can do is shut up so I can turn up the music while I drive your lazy arses there." We all laughed and shut our mouths after Oscar said that, directed at Jude. This trip had taken an unexpected turn, we'd been away from home a lot longer than expected and we weren't even there yet. "Alright guys I reckon another 3 hours and we will be driving right into the city of Melbourne!" James yelled and everyone cheered and laughed. It was crazy how much we'd been through as a group, especially with Tom being in that coma and staying at the hospital. Now we had this chance to relax and hang out before we all went our separate ways. It was such a shame that we'd all have to go off and start new lives without each other. I thought, " most of us are talented, there has to be at least one other person I'll be going to uni with" and I was glad when Tom and Frances were both super interested in it. I also had a friend who went to a different high school back in Perth who had gotten in to WAAPA and would be studying percussion. His name was Zac, he was extremely talented and had a passion for music. I wished I saw more of him throughout high school but I was hoping I'd get into WAAPA as well.

*I know this is a small chapter, the next one will be better!
