My name is (y/n) (l/n), I was a pawn in the service of the great Sirzechs Lucifer, the man who saved my life. Now I am one of the emperors of mythology. And every story has a beginning.

200 years ago

I was 13 years old, sitting in the rain covered in wounds and the blood that came out of them. I was on a deserted island. My friends, dead. My parents, dead. I thought I was going through die too, but it was as if fate chose me to suffer loneliness because I couldn't seem to die.

Then he came.

"There's someone over there." A woman with silver hair in a maid's uniform says coming no with a red haired man.

"Are you ok?" He asks, but I just stay quiet.

"I guess you don't feel like talking to strangers. Let me introduce myself. My name is Sir Zechs Gremory and yours?" He asks.

"...(y/n)...(l/n)..." I say.

"Well (y/n) I have a feeling that life is not finished with you yet. If you want, you can come with me and live as a devil of my house. What do you say? Will you continue to live?" He asks sticking his hand out.

"...I will..." I say shaking his hand.

I was then made into a devil of the Zechs peerage. I was treated for my injuries because they weren't easy to cure because seeing as how they were open wounds for a long time.

The minute after I was treated, The doctors gave me a sort of fancy attire and told me to talk to this Sir Zechs man from before.

Just then he explains to me how I am now a devil of the Gremory house and absorbed a total of 4 pawn pieces in his peerage which is like a chessboard. Then they talk about how I am able to use a magic that uses the principle of pure darkness. I think I might just get the hang of this whole devil thing.

6 months later

"DARKNESS SLASH!!!" I say throwing my last enemy down.

"Lady Serafall. All peerage retired. Game to Sir Zechs." The referee says.

"Yeah we won!" I say happily and bro hug my fellow comrades, Beowulf and Enku.

"Well done (y/n). You did exceptional work out there as usual." Zechs says commending me.

"I just did what is to be expected. Just being awesome at it is just a bonus." I say with a smirk.

"Now I have been wondering something for a while and my parents as well. And we were wondering if you would like to be a part of the Gremory family. Our name will be yours." Zechs says shocking me.

"To be a part of your family? I'd be honored!" I say happy.

20 years later

I managed to get a peerage of my own when was 18 and it wasn't easy finding the people I thought were good, but I managed to accomplish it.

(The peerage is the same as the one in The Dragon Slayer)

"Normally when a devil recruits people to join their peerage they call them their servants. I however will call all of you my children and I want all of you to think of me as your father. We will aim for nothing more than to stand at the top and I will accept nothing more. Can you do it?" I ask my peerage.

"YES, FATHER!!!" They respond.

"I insist that you take the Lucifer title when I resign, (y/n). You are the only other person that can lead the Devil World successfully." Zechs begs me.
