Falling In Love All Over Again

Chapter 1- So we meet again?

"Sophia you can't make me!" I say on the phone to my best friend as she tries to convince me to stay with her over the weekend. Normally this would be fine but here's the thing.
My ex of one year, Finn Wolfhard would be there too.
"You can't persuade me to stay in the same house as my ex all weekend..." I say as i fidget with my hands sitting on my bedspread.
Then she says through the phone "I'll make you go, PLUS- it's been a year it shouldn't even be awkward anymore!" Then Sophia hung up.
"UGH" i let out a loud sigh as I dramatically flopped backwards onto my bed.
Finn and I had broken up around 1 year ago due to long distance, being busy with our lives, and overall not making enough time for each other. It ended with a small petty argument that I am not proud of. I had barely talked to Finn since the breakup but it was difficult since him and I shared the same best friends. Although, It did sometimes work out because the times when he hung out with the group, I was busy filming or modeling. He was pretty busy filming for Stranger Things this year too. So my friends saw him every now and then, and I wouldn't go.
I couldn't back out for this weekend though because me and Sophia had been looking forward to our beach weekend for months! Of course just now we find out that Finn and the other guys were tagging along. Couldn't leave her alone with them.
I went to sleep with all the thoughts in my mind of what I would do
should i go? or shouldn't i?
then I fell asleep. I was getting picked up tomorrow anyways. Guess i'm going:/
