Hey guys! So this is a brand new story and I'm really excited to start this one since I like the plot better than my first story. You must read this prologue to understand everything and I'm perfectly aware it's very short but it's just a prologue (prologues can be written in different ways). All of this is essential to know to understand certain things that happen later on in this story.
I made a Wattpad trailer which is linked on the side (my first one actually). EDIT: IT'S MY FIRST ONE, AND ALSO THE WORST AHA.
But anyway, tell me what you think and hope you enjoy! xx

Prologue
I had always been insecure. It was extremely rare that I'd look into the mirror and saw something I liked. I envied those girls who looked at themselves in the mirror and didn't mind what they saw or actually felt content and confident with their appearance. I wanted that...confidence.
I wanted to feel secure. Feeling secure about how I walked, ran, worked and appeared. I knew there were girls like me out there, everyone in general has their own insecurities. Even if it's as small as how their nose is shaped or the smallest pimple on their face. But at my old school I went to, everyone seemed like nasty, confident snobs.
I had one friend who was always somewhat there for me. She was my best friend. However, when the bullying got worse, she left me out of embarrassment and practically blamed me for the stress she was under. Her name was Maya Wills and from what I knew since I had enrolled at my new school, she'd risen on the social ladder.
The bullying got so bad that my dad withdrew my enrollment and made me attend a new school: Cedar Valley High. But before I transferred, things were really difficult for me and I realised I needed my mother. My eighteen year old brother, Mark felt the same way. She passed away due to a severe case of breast cancer when I was four years old but luckily I still have my father who has supported and cared for me everyday of my seventeen years so far.
My life last year may have sounded quite depressing but I decided to remain strong because I felt that things would get better at my new school.
And they did.
I gained two best friends, Aubrey and Kate who I honestly think will never leave me in a similar situation like a year ago. I also have a few other friends that I talk to regularly in class but don't hang out with in break times at school.
My life was as it should be and I finally felt happy, despite being quite insecure with how I appeared to others.
But I didn't know how good (or bad) things could be until my brother's supposed bad boy best friend, Jace Forrester came into the picture.
