BEEP BEEP BEEP
Lara groaned as she lazily reached out a hand to turn off her alarm which has awoken her from what was a peaceful sleep. She felt the smooth and cool wood under her fingers and she felt her way along the bedside table until her fingers came in contact with the rectangular alarm clock which had a habit of bringing her so much grief.
She clasped her hand into a fist and slammed it down upon the snooze button, but she didn't get the serene silence she expected. The alarm clock didn't stop blaring, the sound echoing through her head and a pounding ache began to form from within her forehead.
So instead, she just pushed the alarm clock to the floor, hearing a crash she would later regret. That was the third alarm clock she has broken in two weeks.
What can I say, the blonde-haired girl thought to herself.
"Breaking things is one of my little talents", she finished out loud.
Sunlight was streaming through the bottom of her blackout blinds and into her room which looked like it was straight out of one of the more stylish sections in IKEA.

Ok, she thought to herself, I have to get out of bed now.

Then she promptly went back to sleep.

She awoke later with a start, remembering what day it was.
"One... Two... Three!"
Lara heaved herself out of her black and white queen-sized bed.
She lifter her left arm hurriedly, exposing her forearm. She looked at her wrist.
'0weeks, 0days, 64minutes'.
The clock was telling her she would meet her soulmate today. In a bit over an hour.
"Shit," Lara groaned.
The twenty-three year-old didn't feel in the mood to meet her soulmate.
She put on black yoga pants and a white cropped hoodie, which exposed the flat tanned skin of her stomach.
The girl slid across the tiled floor in white socks to get to the kitchen. She opened the singular door to her pantry, as she had broken the other door. Lara peered in and realised she had 'literally no food. Like, at all.'
Lara huffed, and decided she would have breakfast out.
Her car was (conveniently) being fixed because, surprise, she somehow broke it.
She decided to grab her my-ki train and bus card, and headed out the front door, locking it behind her.
It was only a short walk to the train station, around ten minutes. She ignored the small handful of inappropriate comments as she walked, occasionally saying something sassy back at the commenters. There weren't many people on the train when she got on, but it wasn't empty either.

She chose to sit near another girl, who had light brown skin with short black hair in a stylish shoulder-length cut, and a fedora atop her head. Lara almost snickered when she saw the hat, but somehow the other girl made it look good. She also had with some light pink blush dusted across her pale cheeks. She wore a light grey sweater and black leggings paired with dark combat boots and a messenger bag draped down one clothed shoulder.
She looked like a total hipster, but as if she started the trends instead of following them.
As she sat down, dark brown eyes flickered up to meet her own, and a friendly smile crossed Lara's face.
"Hi, what's your name?"
"I'm Ji-Yeon what about you?" Replied with a soft yet almost androgynous voice.
"I'm Lara," Lara smiled at Ji-Yeon.
They spoke together for a while, until Lara noticed the train was at her stop. Lara knew they wouldn't exchange details, as they met on the train and had a ten minute conversation, but she felt as if she should have.
The blonde girl ignored the thought, and said goodbye to Ji-Yeon. She walked off the train, stepping onto the platform.

It was only when the train was almost out of sight when she checked her wrist again.

It read -2minutes.
