"I see he didn't show up" I stopped and handed my bags to the old man with the short shorts on with his baggy shirt.
Mom looked at me and laughed with the rest.
"He is never on time. Are you forgetting Ari" Kwame said

I looked at ma's watch for the last time as I began to frown my face by the second and folded my arms with force.
"I am sure he will be here in a minute," Mother said rubbing my shoulder "He will be here, He will not miss this day"
It was time for me to perform. I usually do not believe in people I do not trust promises but with him it was different. He swore on his life and even promised me. So I was really expecting him to show up early like the rest of us. But, he was late...again. He signed me up to perform for this show and he doesn't wanna show up, what type of nonsense is that.
"You know what" I turned to Ma and looked back at the crowd "I do not need him, I have you"
She looked at me and gave a weak smile that didn't reach up to her eyes
"Do not give up easily. You got to have faith"She looked at me
"I do have faith. He promised me moth-"
Ari you are up next" The producer came and announced
"See" I looked at her and shook my head
"It is okay"
"Okay, it is time," The producer said, "You are going to kill it."
As the microphone was handed to me I walked on stage like a boss.

my legs move in sync.
The crowd goes crazy as I stood in the middle of the stage. I waited about a minute before speaking but the crowd continue to cheer.
"What is up Londonnnnn" I smiled
The crowd went back to cheering and screaming.
"We love you Ari" I heard that very clearly.
"I love you too" I responded and the crowd bust out screaming, I couldn't help but also laugh and smile.
