PREVIOUSLY ON CLAWS
"I see he didn't show up" I stopped and handed my bags to the old man with the short shorts on with his baggy shirt.

Mom looked at me and laughed with the rest.

"He is never on time. Are you forgetting Ari" Kwame said

I couldn't stop looking at him just staring at him and how disgusting he made me feel. How uncomforta-

"You okay sweetie?" Mom's concerning face brought me back " You're awfully quite"

I smiled at her then answered "Tired" I lay my head on Kofi's shoulder.

Now on CLAWS

The silence that fell down in the limo was not just making me uncomfortable but I felt like I was going to die of suffocation. Nobody opened their mouths. I could hear Kofi's taking deep hard breathes down my neck and the chills it sent from my skull to my toes was unbearable. I shifted my body to avoid his deep hard breathes as I loved my body my dad just had to comment on what I was doing.

"Just sleep on his lap already" He had a wine bottle in his hand as he took a long sip.

You could hear the loud sound of him swallowing. Mother looked over to me and shakes her head as if that would stop me from speaking my mind. I slowly lifted my head and Kofi squeezed my hands soo tight I was one hundred percent sure it will leave a bruise.

"You know I respect myself very much and for a stucked up alcoholic like you ever make stupid remarks of my actions you rather be lucky dead"

"Nicole just let it go"

Mother had put up with his behavior while marriage and still find it deep in her heart to defend him even after they've divorce for 5 years now. I can never put my mind around that.

"Oh shut up and grow the fuck up Nicole. You might be what is trending now and have been trending for as long as I can remember, but I'm always going to be your father"

He took a glass and just poured the little bit of the wine in the glass and drank it like water.

"Isaiah do all a favor and shut up for once" Shantel screamed.

Shantel has always try to look for the best in that hot mess and she has completely stop giving a fuck and it was about a time.

"I'm tired Nicole. What more can I do for him. I give him money when he ask but I have to care for myself"

The most intelligent thing she had ever said of Isaiah. I was even surprised. I thought she was shitting me. The girl who grew up defending her father now grown to not give a fuck.

There's only little you can do to try and change a person and a disease they have accepted in their life and had let that disease take control and actually do the damage it can do. You can't change a person who doesn't find it in their heart there's something wrong with them.

"Since when did you get the balls to tell me to shut up" His head hit the window and he was knocked out

Jesus! Why did you bless me with a father that was in this shithole of a life.

As we got to our destination Kellie rushed out the limo talking on the phone while Shantel followed close by her to earzdrop on her conversation.

Kellie's marriage has kept her family issues at home away from us and it has been very hard on us to support her cause we barely know what is going on with her. Kwame had a talk with her husband Richard and he barely for anything from him. I talked to Kellie and it seem to me Richard has been cheating. I could be wrong.... but I hardly doubt it.

She seems embarrassed about something and I think I know exactly why....
------------
"He seems kinda off don't you think?" I moved to the fridge to get some orange juice.
Kellie sat at the far end of the kicthen counter in the middle of the kicthen. Shantel just sat there quietly tapping on the Italian marble countertop as she ate in silence.

Kellie pointed to her and I knew exactly what she was doing.

"Do not change the subject Kellie Love. There's something about him. The sex might be good for you Kellie, but I have a funny feeling about him"

Kellie chewed the tangerine and laughed, " You always think a guy I date is suspicious"

I raise my brow at her, "and I'm always right"

She rolled her eyes and cut through the pancake.

"She's right Ari let her do her" Shantel looked up from her plate and smiled at me.

That bitch. I loved her. I rolled my eyes "Oh shut the fuck up. This is important"

"Well of course it is important that bitch is about to get married" Shantel got up from the chair gently placing her plate in the sink.. for the first time.

"Umm. I would love to not be called a bitch hoes and stop talking like I'm not here" She licked her fork while pointing the knife at us.

"I still think he's suspicious" I drank the last of my orange juice pointing my finger at both of them.

"Sure. Well I love you both but I have an exam in 2 hours and I have to study with Brian"

As soon as she mentioned Brian's name Kellie made a comment

"That boy is kind of a..."

Shantel and I looked at her and she shut her mouth real quick.

"You were saying what again?" Shantel laughed while she left the kicthen.

"Oh come on the guy seems like a jerk!" She threw her arms up

"Right same as your man young lady"

-------------
"It better not be about that useless husband of her's" Kwame said to Kofi

"She told me to back off so I did exactly that" Kofi jumped of the limo

Soo childish. As we walked in the house leaving our father passed out in the limo I walked straight in the house. The house where memories and torture happened. Our second home.
