'Hold up! Wait!' Hermione's heart skipped a beat as she heard that voice. Did Ron want to speak to her?! She stopped abruptly, and turned around. Her heart sank as she noticed Cormac McLaggen making his way towards her. Bloody git. He was all brawn, and no brain. At all. 'Hello there McLaggen.' She tried to put in as much spite as she could into her tone. He must not have noticed it, even if he did he did a good job covering it up.
'Granger. I've been wanting to speak to you!' He said, in a tone of pride.
'I'm a bit busy right now, McLaggen. So I'll just speak-!' Before completing her sentence, she started walking off. Ugh.
When would he realise that she wasn't even remotely interested in him?!
When would Ron realise that she was completely interested in him?!
Stupid boys and their stupid emotions!
She was sick of them!
Entering the common room, she was greeted the disgusting, sickening sight of Ron and Lavender kissing each other. Averting her eyes, she directly headed to the girls dormitory and found herself alone with Ginny and parvati. 'Oh yes of course! No problems!' Parvati was saying as she headed out.
Ginny nodded and Parvati nodded at Hermione as she walked out. 'What did she want now?' Hermione asked, setting her books down.
'She's my news girl. On Ron and Lavender.' Ginny casually said. 'Ginny!' Hermione said, appalled. 'You're prying on their privacy!'
'Oh shush Mione! I know you want the dirt on them! Besides, people are sick of their disgusting kissing. Believe me!' Ginny said, in a matter of fact tone.
Hermione knew it was useless to argue with her and hence settled with a sigh. 'Oooh listen! We have a hogsmeade visit tomorrow! You're coming right?' Ginny asked, a few minutes later.
'I don't really feel like coming! I've got so much to write and-' Hermione was interrupted by Ginny. 'Please come! I need you there tomorrow. I think Dean's breaking up with me... and I need someone there!' Ginny pleaded. 'Why? Don't tell me you need a shoulder to cry on, because I know you don't need one.' Hermione said, confused.
'No no. We could go shopping later! That's why!' Ginny said, laughing. 'Oh and Luna's joining us as well!!!' She said. Hermione groaned. 'Luna?!?!' She asked. Ginny got a determined look on her face. 'I won't hear any nonsense about her Mione, she is my best friend and the best person I've ever known!' She said, in a firm tone.
Hermione nodded and walked out, her heart filling with respect for Ginny's loyal friendship.

Hogsmeade was a place Hermione had neutral feelings for. She liked it as well as hated it. She liked it because of the beautiful atmosphere and book shops and the Three Broomsticks. She hated it because of all the sick couples who made out there as if their lives depended on it.
Her first trip to Hogsmeade had been eventful enough, glorious enough to give her memories that would last for all eternity. It was the first time she had realized that her feelings for Ron ran deeper than friendship, and it had scared the crap out of her. What if it ruined their friendship forever? What if it made them so awkward around each other, that they could no longer stand to be in the same room? Or! What if Harry had to choose! between her and Ron? she knew he would have a tough time doing so! And boy would it be entertaining to watch that!
