MatchMade (An Austin Porter Fanfic)

Chapter 5

Austin's POV:

When Ellen called us about her idea of playing matchmaker, we were all pretty stoked considering we'd get to be on her show, but when she mentioned it would be with Rosie, I felt a bunch of different emotions.

Obviously I was super excited because she's ROSIE HUGHES and she's the most gorgeous, caring, and chill girl I have ever laid my eyes on. I was also kinda nervous though because up until this point we have had two very weird encounters so I wasn't sure how she'd feel seeing me again. The first one was at Pandora when she was cheering for us and gave me a little thumbs up, well, I mean I'm not certain it was for me because c'mon there's five of us up there, but it just felt like it was for me. It was also a little weird though because she cheered at a part I usually mess up at (thankfully I didn't) but I'm sure it was just a coincidence. 

Then there was also the whole car thing that happened like 2 hours before Ellen thought of the idea. Basically what happened was she pulled up in the car next to us at a stop light and she was with Sabrina Carpenter. They were laughing about something but we couldn't really hear because they were blasting music, but we couldn't help but stare a bit. The song in their car ended and all we heard was her voice shout, "AUSTIN! CAN YOU HEAR ME KNOW? I LIKE AUSTIN!!" She laughed a little until all of a sudden she turned around, and her words, "oh shit." confirmed it all. She was talking about me. After we exchanged our awkward hello's, the light changed and we all drove away. 

So now you can see why I might be a tad nervous to see her again. Maybe she saw me in real life and completely questioned why she even liked me, or maybe she's completely embarrassed and never wants to see me ever again? Or what if I'm just making this a much bigger deal than it is and she already forgot about me? There's only one way to find out, I gotta walk on this stage and just go for it.

We're waiting for our cue to walk on when I feel a hand on my shoulder, I turn and it's Brandon, "Don't over think it bro. She's going to like you whether it's as a friend or more, just do what you always do, and I'm sure she'll be charmed." I smiled at him in thanks, and now it was time for us to go on.

I was walking towards her, mentaling combusting as I did so. I heard the little voice inside my head do what you always do, do what you always do. So I picked the line that was the boys say have yet to fail me and tapped her shoulder, "Hi."

Rosie's POV:

I never thought I was one of those girls who would completely loose it over a guy or not know what to do around them, but when I looked into Austin's eyes I couldn't help but melt a little bit. I stared at him for a moment before I snapped back into reality. I smiled wide and held my arms out, "Hey!" He met me halfway for the hug an-oh my god he smells so good I might pass out! When we pulled out from the hug I smiled sheepishly, "Sorry I'm kinda a hugger". 

He laughed and oh my god I just made aUsTiN pOrTeR lAuGh AHHH! Ok Rosie you need to get your shit together before you embarrass yourself again in front of him. I moved onto the other guys, introducing myself and hugging all of them as well, apologizing to each of them in advance for the excessive amount of hugs I give because now that we've met, we're going to be friends whether they like it or not. I mean they're PRETTYMUCH and a BEANZ needs to know her boys. 

Now that we were all settled, Ellen took over and started explaining the game to us and the audience, "Ok guys so basically we all know how matchmaker works, I'm going to be asking a series of questions and decide which guy of PRETTYMUCH I think will work best with Rosie. However, we are looking for the most compatible pair, not the pair that has the most in common. I need someone to balance out my Rosie over there." She shot me a wink before I turned completely red in the face again. Someone nudged me from the side and turned to see that it was Zion, smiling down at me. I smiled back and went back to listening to Ellen. "You're each going to get a white board, I'm going to ask the questions and you'll write your answer down. OK, So who's ready to start?"
