Austin's POV:

"...Brandon!"

it's not me.

Not to be overdramatic, but when I didn't hear my own name my stomach didn't drop, it plummeted. I don't want to say I wanted to win so bad, because Rosie shouldn't be treated like the prize at the end of the game. I think I just wanted someone else to think we'd be a good couple besides myself. To think that Ellen picked one of my best friends over me as a better match for the girl of my dreams stings more than I can put into words. I looked to my side and was a little confused when I saw Rosie's expression. She had a smile on her face, but I could see disappointment in her eyes. It gave me a slight sense of hope. Just a slight though.

Rosie's POV

"...Brandon!"

And it wasn't him.

Not to be overdramatic, but I felt like I was stabbed in the heart when I didn't hear Austin's name. I wanted Ellen to pick him so bad. She knew I wanted her to pick him so bad. I mean telling her the embarrassing story and telling her how Austin is my favorite. I know she wanted to have a little segment, but it's my love life that's she tooling with. I love her like a mom, and it's probably why I'm getting so irritated with her right now. I don't need her budding into my relationships or anything. I put on a smile for now, but Brandon and I both know we're not going through with this. He's head over heels for Charlotte for crying out loud!!

"Here both of you come up here!" Ellen said with a smile. She looked so proud but she was so wrong. Like WAYYYY off. Brandon and I both reluctantly stood up and made our way up to Ellen. I looked over at Austin to try to read his expression. He had a smile on, but I could tell it was forced. It gave me some hope to see the forced smile, shows that he clearly didn't want Brandon being my match either. But it also could be he was sick of the game and wants to go home.

Ok I really need to stop putting myself down like that. I like Austin! I just need to go for it. Just go for it.

"So, before we make this relationship official, does anyone have any objections?" Ellen directed towards me, Brandon, and the rest of the guys. It sounds she's about to marry us for crying out loud.

Go for it.

As I went to open my mouth, someone else already beat me to it. "I actually do Ellen." It was Brandon, raising his hand next to me. "I really hate to ruin the game like this, please don't hate me, but I actually already have a girlfriend." I laughed a little to myself because he looked really nervous telling her even though the worst she could do was just not invite them back to the show.

She was giving him a look that said it all, "You're kidding me right? You're telling me I have to redo all my calculations, I'll need to ask more questions, I don't even think I can finish this today. We're gonna need another segment?" She looked extremely baffled and slightly annoyed. She could just make it a lot easier on herself if she let ME choose! "OH! I have the perfect idea!" Finally, it better be let me pick. "I'll let the audience choose!" NO NO NO NO NO! She has got to be kidding me! I can't let this happen.

"Ellen I-" I was cut off for the second time when another person on stage started off as well.

"Hi, I'm sorry but I just need to say something."

It was him.

I swallowed nervously, carefully listening to what he had to say and giving him a nod to go on. He took a deep breath before continuing.

"This isn't to be rude or anything because I know Ellen definitely put a lot of work and time into this game, but at the end of the day, that's exactly what this is. A game. It's just a segment on a show for entertainment. I'm sure Ellen had the best of intentions going into this, but has Rosie had a say in any of this? I mean she looked completely taken by surprise by this. This is her relationship that we're just deciding for her. We haven't asked her who she likes out of all of us, if any. Sorry if that was disrespectful, I'm just thinking out loud."
