Bella stood there pale, then scarlet red, as Remus told her this news. Almost every single emotion was flowing through her mind at the moment. "So you're saying that he.." She trailed off, then looked at her tall friend as he nodded. "B-but he's Sirius Black. Player of Hogwarts. Dates girls for his own benefit. He'd never like me." She said, still shocked.

"I know he doesn't make the wisest decisions but he shows that he likes you. Me and James are suspicious about it. And James said he's gonna kick his arse if he hurts you, so don't worry." He chuckled. "Thats the problem. I don't want to get hurt. I'm probably just some pawn in his little chess game which he thinks he runs." She said sharply. "I don't really believe I deserve him anyways. Who'd want to date a filthy, ugly mutt anyways? I'd laugh in their face if someone said they did." She said, sighing hopelessly. Then, as she said those last two sentences, Sirius walked in. He glared at both of them before walking out of the portrait. Before he closed it, Bella was on the verge of breaking.

"I told you Remus." Was all he heard before he shut it fully. He walked for about two minutes down the staircases before he heard the portrait slam shut and the sounds of a girl trying to keep in tears. He turned to see Bella only 3 yards away. She had tear-brimmed eyes and was shaking like she jumped in the Black Lake during winter.

"Bella?" He whispered. She didn't answer him and ran past him, running to what looked like the kitchens. He sighed and headed back to Gryffindor Tower. He walked lazily up to the dorms when he flopped on his bed. "Kill me now." He muttered.
