The Night We Meant

"Jade are you still coming out with us tonight?" Asked Amina . They've been friends ever since they meet at Coachella, the two had an unspoken love for concerts/music festivals. Jade held the phone with hesitation, knowing she promised she would earlier that week. She couldn't say no because she would feel bad but also she probably needed some fun in her life for once. "Yeah, sure why not." Jade happily replied. "Yay, were all meeting at Katt's house at 8" Amina says. Jade hangs up the phone, first thing comes to mind, why am I so nervous? A second later her phone buzzed*, she looked and it's a text from Amina : I know it's been a few months since we hung out but I'm so happy , I can't wait to see you, I've missed you! Xoxo. She smiled and it made her feel better about going. After Jade got off work, she decided to head to the mall just in case she had nothing at home, (knowing she did, just finding any reason to spend money on PAYDAY) heading into Urban Outfitters, everything she tried on, she liked. But before she got to the register, she looked at the price."Are you fucking kidding me! $130 for a dress. I can find this maybe even better at the flea market!" Jade yelled in frustration. Looking up she saw everyone staring back at her, she awkwardly laugh and rushed out of there almost knocking over a mannequin. Jade finally arrived at Katt's house. "Hey Amina, I'm outside." "Really!! Ok I'm coming out." she says, in a quickness. She skips out to her car in a silly manner. She gets into the passenger seat, "This is a Kodak moment!" Amina says while hugging Jade. "Come let's see if everyone's ready." "Ummm, can I just wait here." She says. "No I want to introduce you to everyone, plus we're all taking an Uber." Amina says while dragging her to the door. Jade think to herself, Amina is a really amazing friend,she knows Jade isn't a people's person, but ever since they met she always made it her mission to live life out of her comfort zone, she says it's for the best and no one deserves to miss out.
After three knocks someone comes and open the door it's Katt, she looks at Jade and then Amina."Wowwww, Amina you finally dragged her out from her cave."

Jade wasn't sure if she was to take that as a compliment or insult, but honestly she didn't care, it takes more to offend her. Jade meet Katt twice due to Amina of course. From those two encounters, she can definitely say she's a wann-a-be MEAN GIRL. Which is hilarious to her, but Jade just rolled with it. After Amina introduced her to the other girls, they finally head out after 10 minutes, jumping into their uber. At this point Jade was having fun so far, just by how nice everyone was, but she had no clue where they were going. She sent a text to Amina, who was sitting in the passenger while Jade was in the back "I never got the chance to ask, but where are we going?." "Lol, we're going to a party!" Amina knew if she told her, she wouldn't have came, Jade rarely do parties. ". . . . .. you should've told me."  She says. "I couldn't , promise you won't leave as soon as we get out the car." They arrived, everyone is excited and checking their lipstick while Jade is just standing there, wishing she was at home reading some fanfic. Katt walks up to her smacking gum, she looks her up and down. "Did you even tell her we were going to a party, I mean god look at what she's wearing." Katt says. All of them looked over at Jade, like She all of  sudden didn't have this on the whole time she's been around them. "Well I think she looks fine", Amina says, looking over at her like she's coming up with a plan. "All we have to do is add a little lipstick, bring her hair up and she'll be perfect." Since the party was at a loft, they decided before heading up, they stopped by the lobby restroom to give her a so-called makeover. Jade decided to wear a black mesh top with her favorite bralette (that had cute sailboats on it) some fitted plaid trousers, with converse & an oversized cardigan. She came out with no cardigan, hair pulled up in the highest ponytail She had ever seen, and a warm tone nude color lipstick.
