Daniel Simmons

I sat on Daniel's bed as I watched him get ready for his date. We've been roommates for 4 years. We meet right after I graduated college. He was in need of a roommate and I happened to be what he was looking for.

"Here, let me help you with that." I said as I helped him with his tie.

"Thanks." He said as I was about to walk away when he gently grabbed my wrist.

" I want you to know that, I'm going on this date with her as a friend. Nothing more, nothing less." He said as I looked away from him and to the ground.

Here's the thing, I've always liked Daniel but I chicken out before I can get the courage to say anything.

"Ok. You better get going before you're late." I said as I removed my wrist from his hands.

*2 hours later*

"Hey I'm home!" He shouted as I came out of the kitchen with my snacks.

"Hey, how was it?" I asked as I sat down.

"Good." He replied as he ate some of my chip and dip.

I mean mugged him. I hated when he ate my food.

"You'll be fine." He chuckled as he walked upstairs to his room.

"I need to tell him how I feel." I thought to myself as I clicked on something to watch through Netflix.

"What are we watching?" He asked as he stood behind the couch.

"We're watch- watching umm... rr-riverdale." I stuttered as I noticed he didn't have a shirt on.

"Oh ok. Mind if I sit next to you?" He asked as I scooted over.

He sat down next to me and I felt my stomach churn.

"I need to tell you something." I said as I turned in his direction.

"What is it?" He said popping a chip in his mouth.

"I like you, and I've been liking you since I meet you." I said in one big breath.

He smiled at me and moved closer. I didn't know what was going on so I sat still.

"Come here." He said as he gently grabbed my face and tongue kissed me.

I kissed back and I swear it felt like I was on cloud 100. I couldn't help but be happy.

"I like you too." He said as we caught our breath.

For the rest of the night we watched Riverdale and talked.
