Sirius' point of view:
It was August 2nd, 1995. Sirius was sitting on his bed thinking about Harry.
He must be angry and upset, after everything that happened, Sirius thought
It wasn't fair that Harry who had many people who cared about him, had to go and live in an abusive household like the Dursleys.
Sirius remembered his conversation with the headmaster of hogwarts, Albus Dumbledore, at the beginning of summer.
He had asked Dumbledore if Harry could stay with him at number twelve Grimmauld Place after what had happened on the day Voldemort returned. Dumbledore had refused.
"But why?" Sirius had yelled frustratedly after the third time. " Why can't he stay with me? I'm his godfather, am I not?"
Dumbledore had sighed heavily and had replied with his calm mature voice, " I already informed you that Number Four Privet Drive is the safest place for Harry currently. He will be safe!" Dumbledore had added the last part a little firmly.
Sirius had looked like he was about to argue yet again, and he had opened his mouth to speak, but had closed it when Dumbledore had raised his hand.
" I can not explain the reason behind this arrangement, it is much too soon, but I assure you it is necessary." Dumbledore had said, a little more gently.
"Fine!" Sirius had gritted his teeth, his throut tight. " But if anything happens to him, he WILL come to Grimmauld Place, right?"
Dumbledore had hesitated for a single moment, but than had nodded with a reassuring smile.
Sirius had turned to go, but had stopped when Dumbledore had called his name.
" I understand your protectiveness and concern regarding Harry." Dumbledore had said. " He is the only person you have left, and you don't want to lose him too. Don't worry, I will protect him!" Dumbledore had finished.
Sirius had stayed still as Dumbledore had spoken. He than had turned around, nodded, and marched off, leaving Dumbledore alone in the office.
Sirius layed on his bed, thinking about the lies Dumbledore had told him that day.
'He will be safe!'
Yeah right, Sirius scoffed. Getting attacked by Dementors is apparently a new definition of safe! Sirius turned to his left side and closed his eyes.
What would James do if he heard of what happened? How would he react if he found out that his only son was attacked by Dementors? How angry would he be, if he found out that Harry was staying with the Dursleys?
Those thoughts kept on creeping up on Sirius. Sirius feared how angry his best friend would be at him if he ever found out about what happened to Harry.
Would James ever forgive me? Sirius thought.

Remus' point of view:
Remus had just learned about what happened in Little Whinging, and he couldn't stop himself from punching the wall. He immediately regretted it after aching pain filled his arm.
Remus just couldn't control his anger! His friend's son! Attacked! By Dementors!
It wasn't fair, none of it was! Harry was one of the brightest and most skilled students in his one year of teaching and he didn't deserve all of these things happening to him.
Remus recalled the day when he first met Harry.
He had been asleep on the same compartment the mauraders used to hang out in. Suddenly he had heard screaming. He had woken up with a jolt and realized that there were a group of teenagers around him.
They all had been talking loudly.
"What are you doing?" a voice had said.
"Come and sit down-" another voice had replied.
"Not here" someone had said hurriedly. "I'm here", that person had finished.
"Ouch" a fourth voice had cried.
"Quiet" Remus had said hoarsely.
They all had stopped talking instantly.
Remus had than cast a spell which allowed flames to appear above his hand.
" Stay where you are" Remus had said to them. He had walked toward the the compartment door, but it had slid open before he had reached the handle. A large cloaked figure had appeared and filled the room with a feeling of dread.
Remus shuddered when he thought about that feeling. That feeling that left you hollow and depressed. That feeling that made you crave for just a tiny spark of hope, but you couldn't find one.
The Dementor had raised its grey, slimy-looking, scabbed hand for an instant, before it had taken a long slow rattling breath, that had sucked out the all the jubilation from everyone. One of the teenagers had lost consciousness, though at the time, Remus had not known it was Harry. The sound of a body falling to the floor had brought Remus to his senses. He had quickly yelled out the spell ( Expecto Patronum )and had sent out a a large wolf, from the tip of his wand, causing the Dementor to leave.
The lights had turned on immediately after that, and Remus had looked down to see the unconscious student.
What he had saw, had made his stomach lurch. There on the floor, laying on his back, unconscious, had been his friend James. For a split second, Remus had been about to freak out, But as he had heard the students around him calling out the boy's name concernedly, he had realized that this must have been Harry, James' son.
While Remus had been freaking out, he hadn't noticed that Harry had been muttering words frantically. Remus had asked the worried students to calm down, and he had bent down. Slowly, Harry had started to wake.
Remus had felt the different emotions wrapping around each other inside him. He had had to get out. Remus had grabbed a bar of chocolate, broke a piece, and had handed it to a confused Harry.
"Here" he had said to Harry, who had been awfully pale, "Eat it. It'll help."
Harry had merely stared at him.
As Remus remembered this, he couldn't help but smiling. After he had calmed himself down that day, he had realize, that he was happy that he got to teach Harry.
Remus sat down on a chair and sighed, he hoped that whatever his best friend's son was going through, would eventually work its way out.
