Harry's POV:
The events from yesterday were still fresh in Harry's mind. He couldn't sleep. He lay in bed turning around for what seemed like hours.
Harry still did not understand that strange voice that had spoken to Aunt Petunia last night.
When she had dropped in this morning to give him his poor immitation of a breakfast, he had seized the chance to ask her about the voice, but with no such luck. Aunt Petunia didn't want to tell him. That much was certain.
Harry couldn't hide his disappointment about not knowing anything. He also couldn't hide his frustration at Sirius and Hermione and Ron and Dumbledore and pretty much everyone for keeping him waiting. All he wanted was to understand what was happening! Was that too much to ask for? It was he who had to face Voldemort after all, was that not good enough? Did they think that he wasn't capable of handling the truth? Because if so, they were wrong! Absolutely wrong! He had faced Voldemort four times before, he was ready.
Then why am I stuck in this rubbish! Harry internally yelled. Why can't I go to wherever Ron and Hermione are? How much of this do I have to handle?
If it was possible to feel even more agitated, than that was what Harry was feeling. After the Dementor attack, he had expected to leave the Dursleys straight away. Instead, he had to sit in a locked room with nothing to do except think about more things to anger him even more.
Harry sighed, trying and failing to calm himself down. Surely Sirius hadn't forgotten about him. They just needed some time. Harry should understand that. But he didn't.
He didn't understand the reason he had to be stuck in Privet Drive for four weeks. He didn't understand anything that was happening in the wizarding world. He didn't understand why no one would tell him anything. He didn't understand what had happened last night, and why there were Dementors in Little Whinging. None of it made much sense to him. No matter which way he looked at it, Harry couldn't find a single answer to satisfy him.
For the hundredth time that summer, Harry wished he was someone else. Anyone really, As long as he didn't have to worry about such things, he would rather be anyone else. He would love to escape his troubles. He would love to have a real family. He would love to have siblings. To play like a normal kid. To laugh. To smile. To be happy. It seemed like such a simple thing, but to him, it was impossible. Not after what happened. Not ever.
If only I can leave and takeoff with my broom, Harry thought. Then I'll be able to fly my troubles away. To soar through the sky and let the wind tousle my hair. To laugh as I zoom through the clouds. To feel the warm summer breeze swirling around me. To get away, to be... Free!
Harry liked to think about how different his life would be if Voldemort hadn't ruined it. He would have a mother that would sing him songs when he was a little kid.He would have a father who would play Quidditch with him for fun. He would live with people who actually cared about him. For once, Harry really wished that his father was alive with him. He wished he knew what was going on.
Something he definitely didn't know though was that, miles away, In a cemetery in Godrics Hollow, a pair of bright hazel eyes snapped open.

Hey guys,
This was supposed to be the chapter where James is already awake and the confusion starts, but I thought it would be better if we had Harry's point of view before the huge reveal.
Why? Maybe to
- make the story more dramatic and a little sad
- explain what is happening in Harry's head in Privet Drive
- Allow one of the main characters to have a whole chapter to themselves
- write more chapters for my fellow readers!
Yeah, all of the above!
The next chapter is going to be great! Sorry because this one is shorter than the previous. I thought that I played with some feels a little too much. Personally, I felt really sad writing this.
Happy Reading!!
