Liv's Pov

The energy I felt while my best-friend, Cathy, was dragging me through the venue in San Diego was indescribable. She said she wanted me to meet her friend, but she wouldn't tell me who. For some reason, I felt excited to meet the mystery man who had managed to befriend Cathy so quickly. "He's so nice." Cathy rambled on as she pushed the heavy door open. We stepped inside the arena and she led me toward a room with a sign plastered on the door that read "My Chemical Romance."

Opening the door, Cathy stepped inside the small room. "Gerard!" She ran toward the man sitting on a vanity stool. He looked in our direction, a smile quickly growing on his lips. Cathy ran into his arms and they hugged each other for a few seconds before she pulled away.

"Gerard," she turned her attention to me, "This is my friend, Liv."

"Liv?" Gerard cocked an eyebrow.

"Yup," I smiled at him.

"Awesome name."

"Thank you."

Grinning widely, Cathy started towards the door. "I'll just leave you two alone." She said and walked out of the room. I wanted to shout for Cathy to come back, but instead, I walked across the room and sat down on the couch. Gerard reclaimed his seat on the vanity stool, a thick silence engulfed us.

"How'd you meet Cathy?" He finally asked.

"We've been friends since Freshmen year," I said, "She was that popular girl and was always nice to everyone. We met through the cliche thing where we got stuck being partners for a project and... Well the rest is history." I finished with a smile.

Gerard nodded, but our short lived conversation was cut short when a knock came from the door. A small woman with blue hair entered the room. "Gerard," she said, "your interview with AP Magazine is about to start."

"Okay," Gerard nodded and stood up from the stool. He turned to me and smiled, "Sucks that we couldn't talk for long," he said, "Let me see your phone." Gingerly, I pulled my phone out of my pocket and handed it to him. Gerard quickly typed something in before handing me my phone back. "I took the liberty of putting in my phone number. I'll text you sometime." He said before leaving the room.

"I can't believe you're actually going on a date with Gerard." Cathy muttered as she sat on the edge of my bed. I nodded, agreeing with her words completely. Suddenly, I heard the doorbell ring from outside. I quickly fixed my hair one last time before grabbing my things and rushing down the stairs.

Opening the front door, I smiled widely once I saw Gerard standing on the porch of my house. His hair was styled perfectly and he was dressed in a black leather jacket, a Kurt Cobain t-shirt, black jeans and black converse. He looked hot, I'll admit.

"You look incredible." Gerard complimented with a smile. I returned the smile and closed the front door behind me. I followed him to his car and slide into the passanger's seat while he into the driver's side. The car ride to the restaurant was spent in silence, but I really didn't mind. I felt too happy that I was going on a date with Gerard.

Exactly three weeks ago, he gave me his number and since then, we've been inseparable. We've been out to the movies, cafe houses, and many other places together, but it's never been a date until now. Gerard told me that the place where he was taking me was rather snobby, but the food was incredible.

When we arrived at the restaurant, Gerard hurried out of the car and opened the door for me. I giggled at the sweet gesture and felt the heat rise to my cheeks once I felt his hand grab a hold of mine. "Is... Is it okay if I hold your hand, Liv?" He asked, clearly nervous. I nodded and followed him into the restaurant.

Gerard was right, the restaurant was one of those snobby places where all the rich come to eat and dine. The man standing behind the booth looked frightened at Gerard's appearance, but thankfully, he didn't make a scene. I felt a little annoyed that the man gave us a table in the back, but decided not to let his ignorant behavior get the best of me.

"Have you two made up your mind?" The waiter asked. I nodded and ordered a simple dish while Gerard ordered the same.

While we waited for our food, Gerard asked, "Are you having a nice time?"

"Yes," I nodded, smiling, "I'm really nervous though."

"So am I." He smiled a cheesy smile. "Thank god Cathy introduced me to you. You're a really cool girl, Liv." He said.

"Thank you," I smiled widely. "Can I ask you something, though?" Gerard nodded, his eyes filled with curiosity. "Uh," I shifted awkwardly in the leather red seat, "Why'd you ask me out? I mean, you're Gerard Way, you can have any girl in the entire world. Why me?"

Gerard laughed and leaned forward. He placed his hand over mine and smiled. "Seriously, Liv?" His smile grew wider. "I asked you because you're different. First of all, your personality is amazing. You don't take shit seriously and you're one of the few girls who didn't scream their head off when they met me. Plus, you're extremely beautiful, but that's just a plus." He winked.

Smiling widely, I said, "To be honest, I've liked you since the first week I met you."

"Really?" Gerard asked and I nodded. "That's a relief because I like you, too." He said and leaned over the table. I felt his lips brush against me hesitantly and he looked into my eyes, silently asking if it was okay to kiss me. I nodded and my eyes fluttered close  as I felt Gerard's soft lips against mine. I smiled through this kiss and Gerard cupped my face with his hand.

"Be my girlfriend, Liv?" He asked once he pulled away.

"Yes," I nodded eagerly before kissing him again.
