The blue depths controls me.
It deepens the weight of my limbs.
My wings are burdens that sink me.
At leisure my eyes would open-
and I'd find myself deep down.
Suffocating deep down-
Below the surface of my heart.
I need not gasp for air for I've given myself to the darkness.
The deep blue darkness that held my waist and brought me down.
Sea life were the whirlpools of emotion-
That disturb as I sink here
The arms of the sea tightened around my waist-
and squeezed my lungs.
But with gray eyes
I chose obliviousness
and the perturbed fragment that was I,
sank down below.
