I stayed in his office for a few moments more, relishing my new haven. Writers are crazy, they never stop working. I doubt that he will leave this space unoccupied for long, so I take it all in while I can. I make a mental note to steal some of the CD's, he won't notice, right?
I walk into the living room and plop myself as far away from Lin as I possibly can. Thank god they have a sectional otherwise, I would barely have space to myself.
"What do we wanna watch today?" , Lin excitably asks. Sebastian has stopped paying attention, and Vanessa left for work mere minutes ago. I am the only thing in Lin's attention span, and I hate him for it.
I just shrug, not wanting to even look at him.
"Okaaay, Whats your favorite movie then?"
"I don't have one" I lie, not wanting him to learn about me.
"OK, what about," he browses the movies on Netflix for a bit, " OHH Hercules! It's so funny, do you wanna watch it?"
I shrug again, I don't want to be here. I hate everything about this, remind me to kill Lisa next time I see her.
"Ok, we are watching it."
As he puts it on, it starts with music, and I automatically hate it. I'm a horror movie kind of girl, I do not blend well with Disney.
After an hour and a half of mind-numbing Disney crap, I stomp off to my room. I could not take it anymore.
Later, I head out to the kitchen to steal food while everyone is asleep, and I see a note from Lin at my door.
Dear Louise, I left some food in the fridge for you to eat, hope you enjoy it. I hope that someday we can be at least friends. I know this is hard for you, you're a great girl. I hope I see more of you. -Lin
I head into the kitchen and open the fridge. I see a container with, For Louise, on a sticky note. I open it and throw it in the microwave. It pops out smelling amazing. When I take a bite, my mind explodes.
I remember eating this, years ago. In my old house with Kate and Isabel. This traditional recipe was my favorite recipe for the 3 years I was there, it hasn't changed a bit. A flood of happy memories destroys every negative thought I had.
I decide that I hate him a little less, but only a little.
