Epilogue
Tyler glanced over to the boy who had fallen asleep on his bed. Just seeing the peaceful expression on the blonde's face made his own shine with a bright smile.
Weeks ago, he had almost lost his chances of ever seeing the man he loved ever again. Had it not been for Johnny, the very one he was in love with, he would have lost his life. Tyler would have never been able to spend another day, hour, minute, or second with the one he had came to treasure more than anything.
Days were still rough. Molly and her band of misfits had managed to get most of the bullying to stop, but once in a while, hurtful words were spread around the school. By the time it would reach Tyler's ears, and before the sadness could get to him too badly, Johnny would find a way to make it all better. With Johnny actually being his now, life on Earth wasn't always Hell.
The boys barely spent any time apart. Johnny stayed over at Tyler's house almost every weekend, but once in a while they'd change it up and stay at Johnny's house instead. During school they were still together with almost every step they took, but as much as they might have over done it, they did allow each other breathing space when they needed it.
Tyler's mother had been a full supporter of the two, and although Johnny's parents had accepted it, the boys could tell they were still trying to completely wrap their heads around it. Because when it came down to it, everyone had still expected Johnny to be the straight one.
But that was okay, because Tyler knew things could be worse than okay. After everything that had happened, he had learned to appreciate the okay days, even if they weren't the best.
They were supposed to be studying for a test they had Monday, but after complaining about studying for the half hour after school, Johnny had managed to find a way to fall asleep. The brunet was more amused than annoyed, and besides, how could he ever be annoyed at a boy who looked so gorgeous?
He gave a small laugh, along with a shake of his head as he turned back to his desk. He had all intentions of studying, but almost immediately he was once again distracted by the slight worries he still couldn't help but have.
Just because things were peaceful now, how long would they remain that way? And how long would it be until another train wreck happened? He had barely survived the first time, and he didn't want to try and test the waters again.
Tyler was just begining to really worry about it, when suddenly two arms slid around his backside and crossed over his chest. They were bigger than his own, muscles flexing over the appendages while his own seemed like two small twigs. That didn't bother him though, finding comfort in the warmth radiating off of the arms.
"Come take a nap with me." Came Johnny's voice, which seemed a lot deeper than it usually was.
Tyler glanced up, unable to see Johnny's face but still looking in the general direction. "I need to study, John."
"Ugh. I hate it when you call me John. It makes it sound like we're already married or something. What happened to Johnny?" The slightly younger male complained, while leaning heavier against his boyfriend.
Tyler chuckled. "Well had you just left me to study..."
"We have all weekend to study." He continued on.
"Johnny..." Tyler rolled his eyes.
"C'mon, please? You're so tense... Just one nap. I'll stay up all night and study with you if it makes you happy. Just come and relax for now, all right?" Johnny asked.
He had leaned down to gently kiss his boyfriend's back, while his hands ran over the tense muscles he felt underneath them. Although Tyler was reluctant to just give up his miserable thoughts and the urge to study, he did end up giving in.
The brunet sighed deeply as he slowly nodded his head. "All right."
"Awesome."
Tyler could hear the smile in Johnny's voice, just as the shorter man released him and took a step away. The older boy turned, and stood up from the desk chair just as Johnny plopped back down onto the bed.
Laying face up, and with his feet hanging over the edge of the bed, the blonde's arms outstretched to the taller man across from him. Tyler gave his eyes a bit of a roll, but he complied as he shuffled over to the grinning boy. He dropped down onto the bed beside his boyfriend, and immediately fit himself against the side of the better fit boy. The arms that had been reaching out for him before now made their way around his form, and in no time they were settled against each other.
It didn't take Johnny long to go slack against Tyler, and the older boy chuckled softly as he cuddled further into his boyfriend's side.
'With him, I'm sure I can conquer anything. Afterall, he's my superhero.'
