Part II

"Harry, we also need more toilet paper." I informed my fiancé who was about to leave to do the grocery shopping. With a quick nod, he zipped up his coat and kissed my forehead, his left hand finding my stomach and rubbing gentle circles.
"I'll get you some chocolate as well" He grinned as he picked up his car keys. "I shouldn't be gone long. Once I come back, we can start looking for a new venue 'cause I don't think we're getting the one we're hoping for." He spoke before taking his hand away from my stomach and walking to the front door of our home.
"Love you." He said over his shoulder and I replied with the same words. He opened the door, stepped out into the cold autumn air and let the door shut behind him. I smiled to myself and made my way to our kitchen, planning to start on dinner for my soon to be husband.
Harry and I had moved into our home three months ago and everything was going great. When we first moved in, there wasn't much furniture, just a bed in our room, a table in our dining room and a couch in the living area. Harry's mother had gifted us with a television for the living room and recliner. Although I've never been a fan of shopping, furniture shopping was quite enjoyable with Harry. He wasn't the type of man who just agreed with everything you suggested or didn't even care. He always shared his honest opinion and we both compromised on some things. Now, three months later, we finally had our whole home furnished. It's crazy to think that it has only been three months. So much has happened since the second we stepped out of the plane that brought us to London.
Two days after our arrival, we got our dog, Buddy, back. He was incredibly excited when we stepped into the house we now live in. He was walking around, sniffing everything, trying to familiarize with his surroundings. I was also introduced to more of Harry's friends, quickly becoming friends with them and making my own.
Harry had started his new teaching job a month ago and from what he told me, he was enjoying it. It was a typical high school. He told me there were some trouble makers and some students he had to run after to get there late assignments, but he knew that that was part of being a teacher. I had started my courses which were two times a week and the other three days of the week, I worked at a clothing store as a manager. I was shocked when I walked in for my interview and they offered the open position for one of three managers. That rarely happened, but I wasn't complaining. It was a fun job and really well paying.
Two months after we settled in London, Harry and I found out I was pregnant and I had been since the second week here. We hadn't really tried for a baby. A steamy night full of eagerness for each other just made us forget some protection. We didn't really pay much attention to the condom because we both knew I was using birth control.
Turns out, I had forgotten to take it that day. Harry was absolutely thrilled with the pregnancy and I have to admit, so was I. Being pregnant at 18 wasn't ever in my life plans, but it happened. I wasn't as terrified as most pregnant 18 year olds would be because Harry and I have everything we need to support our child. We've got our own house, we've both got jobs, I'm getting an education and Harry already has one. With the money he makes working in the private school, it would be enough to support our baby even if I wasn't working.
So now, here I am. Three months pregnant and content with my life.
I took a pot out and placed it on the heating stove, pouring some water in and letting that boil. I walked over to my laptop that was set on the counter and decided to check my emails. Happiness filled me as I read the email my 'wedding planner' had sent telling Harry and me that we had gotten our desired venue for our wedding. I was so thrilled and decided I would wait to tell Harry the good news in person rather than over text message.
When we first started planning our wedding, Harry and I didn't want to hire a wedding planner. Those can cost quite a bit of money. But one of my new friends from work's mom is a wedding planner and offered to do it more than half price off for us. I'm glad we agreed because she was working magic. She had gotten our dream venue for an affordable price and helped us figure out when we wanted it.
After a few days of debating, Harry and I had agreed on a wedding after the baby comes. It'll be at the end of August, the 30th to be exact. All of the planning was getting me even more excited to be Harry's wife.
I happily walked back to the stove and poured in some noodles to the boiling water. I hummed along to the radio as Buddy joined me, sitting right next to the counter. I prepared the sauce for the dish I was making, craving the chocolate Harry had mentioned earlier.
Once I finished setting the table and our meal, Harry walked into the house, carrying bags of groceries. Seeing him just made the smile I already had widen.
"Smells really good in here." He greeted me with a peck on the lips. He eyed the dinner on the table and I could tell he was hungry, but he started putting everything he had bought away in the cabinets. He finished, sat down in his chair and I poured him a glass of water before sitting down across from him at the table. I couldn't wait to tell him the news about the venue and the other news I had found out earlier that day.
