"God damn it Charlotte, do you do anything other than obsess over them?!" I looked up from my phone, with which I was looking at pictures of Asking Alexandria, stared her straight in the eye, and said in a matter-of-fact tone, "I convert oxygen into carbon dioxide. I recharge cranial machines. I supply energy to intestinal systems. I don't just obsess."

Chloe sighed. "You are the biggest smartass sometimes... Are you even gonna change before we go?" Her brother Skyler was taking us to hang out with Andy Biersack, who he happened to be friends with. "I've got a few hours till we leave, why get ready now?" "Cuz we're leaving in half an hour." I looked at the time on my phone and saw she was right. "Oh FUCK!" I jumped up, grabbed clothes and my makeup from our room, and ran into the bathroom.

I changed quickly into my black tanktop and shorts, and threw a purple buttondown flannel on over the tanktop, but left it unbuttoned. "Chloe!" I yelled.

"What?!"

"Can you put my phone on the charger please?"

She sighed. "Sure thing doll." I was busy putting on my usual makeup: dark eyeshadow, eyeliner, and mascara. "You don't need that shit on your face, ya know." she told me through the bathroom door. I opened the door so she could come in and said, "I look like a fuckin monster without it, and I'm sure as shit not gonna meet Andy fucking Biersack looking like a.monster." "You don't look like a monster," she told me, "you're beautiful, now shut the fuck up."

Chloe has always despised makeup entirely, something I learned quickly when we met five years ago in the eighth grade. I felt ugly, hideous even, without it, which is why she was one of the few people alive to have seen me without it. "Your mom made a beautiful face, don't mask it." I tried to block out what she said; I didn't care to hear about my mom.

I ran a brush through my hair, and smiled, looking at it in the mirror. I had finally gotten it how I wanted: a scene cut, dyed rainbow. "Should I change the spikes, or leave em?" I always asked her which spikes I should have on my spiderbites for that day. She stared at them for a moment, then advised me to go with my black and purple ones.

I walked out of the bathroom to our room and got my purple and black spikes from the box I kept then in. "Hey girls, you almost ready?" I heard Skyler yell from across the house. "Yeah, Charlotte just needs to change her spikes and throw on shoes." she hollered back. "An gub mah fun." I mumbled. "And grab her phone." she translated for me. I finished switching the spikes, so I threw on my black Converse and ran into the living room to grab my phone.

"Charging 99%" I read on the lock screen. I bounced up and down waiting for it to say "Battery Fully Charged" "Alright, lets go." Skyler said as he grabbed the keys. "But, but my-" Chloe grabbed my phone from me and walked to the front door. "We're leaving. Now."
