Shawn
I strummed my guitar and hummed to the melody. I wrote a few lyrics in the journal I had next to me and strummed again.
"Busy, lad?" I heard a familiar Irish voice say.
I looked up and saw Niall. I put my guitar aside and gave him a hug. "What're you doing down in LA?" I asked.
"Recording a song with Ariana." He said, picking up my guitar. "So..heard you're crushing on Mary." He smirked.
I chuckled,"I am not. I'm just..a fan of her show."
Niall nodded slowly,"Oh so you don't care that she's in the studio as well?"
I looked at Niall to see if he was joking or not. "Mary's here? In the studio?"
Niall chuckled,"She's with Ariana upstairs. They're working on something for Mary's show. Wanna meet her?"
I nodded and Niall led me to where they were. "Now, remember Shawn, use your big boy words okay? And try not to completely make a fool of yourself."
I punched Niall on the arm slightly as the elevator door opened to the upstairs studio. We walked in and Mary was bobbing her head so something she was listening to on her headphones. Ariana looked up from her phone and shrieked, startling Mary.
"Shawnie!" Ariana ran up to me and hugged me tightly.
I chuckled and hugged her back, giving her a kiss on her head,"Hey Ari. Heard you're working on something, thought I'd join."
"Oh my god. Don't mess with my emotions! I am SO willing to collaborate with you." She said, tugging my shirt.
Mary took off her headphones and smiled at me. She got up and hugged Niall. "Hey Ni. You forgot the coffees." She giggled.
"Shit." He groaned,"I'll text Harry. He's on his way over too."
"Damn, sounds like a par-tay!" She joked.
I watched her carefully. The way she scrunched her nose when she laughed or how she constantly move her hair from her face.
"Mary, come and meet Shawn!" Ariana said, happily.
"Shawn! Oh, it's so great finally meeting you. I'm a huge fan of your work." She smiled, shaking my hand.
"Thanks, Mary. I'm a huge fan of your show. Any spoilers you wanna share for the next episode?" I joked.
"You'll have to watch it tonight. Sorry." She shrugged, smiling at me.
Ariana gasped dramatically,"I have an amazing idea! Let's all get together at my place and watch it later tonight! What do you guys say?"
We all nodded as a response. "Great, see you guys at 7:30. Bring snacks!" She clapped like a little girl.
Mary
I was with Ari setting up the snacks, waiting for the boys to show up.
"So, what'd you think of Shawn?" Ariana asked, not to subtly.
I gave her a small smile and sat on the couch. "He's great. A true gentleman."
"...And?" She asked, waiting for more. There just wasn't more. I didn't tell Ari and Lisa but I've been sorta talking to Justin Bieber.
"And, he just pulled up." I said, getting up.
"Mary!" Ariana called,"You know what I'm asking."
I smiled at her and opened the door for Shawn, Niall, and Harry.
"Let the party begin!" Niall said, kissing my cheek and bringing in the beer.
"Hey Mary." Shawn said, giving me a small hug.
"Hey Shawnie." I said, giggling. I knew he didn't like that name but I thought it was pretty cute for him.
"Mary, nice to meet you." Harry said, shaking my hand then giving me a peck on the cheek. "Huge fan of your show. Can't wait for tonight's episode."
I was a bit star struck by him but I remained calm. "Thanks. Might have a few spoilers for you about the next episode if you write a song for the show with me." I said, elbowing him lightly.
"I'd be very interested. Let's talk later?" He winked.
I nodded and we went into the living room, everyone getting comfy. "Ten minutes!" Niall yelled.
"Mary! Do a live tweet! Everyone will go crazy." Ariana suggested. "Everyone tweet!"
We all laughed at her but did what she said.
