I was gasping for air. I had light blond hair, now it was a white with a blue tinge. She was right about my eyes. My skin was much more pale and the mark on my cheek was blue with little symbols. Mine matched Slynaé's. She was holding my shoulders.

I had flawless beauty. My chin was more centered, my nose was small and delicate, and my hands were lady like, instead of thick and rough. Slynaé was now sitting on the bed. "What is Zrinith?" I asked while admiring myself.

"It is our language. You need to learn how to write it, and to read it." She said. I pulled my hair back with a ribbon on the table. I sat down next to her. "How come you speak English?" I asked her. "The first elf did. She spoke it, yet created a different language to trick humans. Back then witches were actually elf shamans. They chanted our language instead of English so humans didn't learn our magic." She said.

That made sense. "How do I learn magic?" "My wife is learning how to do water magic, and in return she is teaching me fire magic." She said, " I will teach you water and fire magic in return that you would be my "daughter"." She said. I pondered this.

"Why would you need me as a daughter?" "I cannot have kids. I have a curse. Plus it is not weird to take in a elf as family. When I die you would take over my position." "I'll do it. As long as I see Gron-" I slapped my hand over my mouth. Slynaé laughed.

"Gron is going to want to here this." She joked. "You just got here and you already have a crush? Wow." She added. I smiled. She was so motherly. It was comforting in a way. "Well come with me. I want younto meat my wife." She said. I got up. Then she stopped me. "Never mind you can see her at super. We should get you a tailor to get you some clothes to blend in."

Oh I never thought of that. "Okay so you are going to be royalty yo-" "Royalty?!" "Yes. I'm the queen's aunt. You must act like royalty. Please act lady like, use manners, and don't reveal secrets of my, your, tribe. Any one could be listening to your conversion at tribe meetings." She explained.

Then she left for a moment and came back with a lady elf. She had bronze hair and a thin frame. She smiled. Slynaé whispered something to her and she nodded. Then the elf curtsied."Lady Ephia, I am here to provide you with clothes. My name is Zin, Zin Linif." She walked over to me and adjusted my arms. She took off my shirt down to my bra, then the same to my pants. She measured and added cloth and pins here and there.

Thirty odd minutes later I had an evening gown. She noted my sizes and curtsied again and left. I went back to the mirror and saw my reflection.

Slynaé put my hair into a bun, and nodded at her handy work. She looped her arm in to mine and we walked down a few halls into a vast dining room. She had a guard place another seat by hers and sat down with me.

Another woman was on Slynaé's right side. She was in fine clothes. With blue and red. She had a red eye and a blue one. She had perfect posture. I sat stair up. Up until now I forgot about my family. My mom and George. I needed to ask Slynaé about myself seeing them.

A servant started serving us with a type of bird. It tasted like deer. Then some vegetable that had a bud in the middle of leaves. Slynaé pulled off the leaves and ate the bud. She took a leaf and under the table she pointed at it and wagged a finger.

I didn't eat the leaves but the bud was delicious. It tasted like sunflower seeds and broccoli. Weird huh. I only ate what Slynaé ate. And saw how she ate it. When super was done we stayed there and talked. "Ephia meet my wife, Line Virn." Line smiled at me. She took her right hand out from under the table and it had many burns.

She caught me starring at her burns. "Oh, those are from battles. And this as well." She said as she lifted her hair to reveal a cut elf ear. I felt bad for her. Slynaé wrapped up dinner by saying to all the other administrators, "This is my new daughter, Ephia Hoda. She is now a princess, and will be treated with utterly respect. Good night to all." Then dinner was over.
