As Tobey bolted out of bed with sweat dripping down his forehead he realized that was just another nightmare like the ones he had been having for the past month. Sometimes he was scared to go to sleep just because the nonstop dreadful darkness, but this time was different. This time he heard a voice that made the hairs on the back of his neck stand up. Although he didn't know what these nightmares were about he felt they were important to him even though he couldn't explain why. When he looked over at his clock as he stood up he realized that just like every other night the clock shown that same number. Five-Forty four. Exactly a minute before his alarm went off as he watched the seconds go by he sat there.
Tick. Tick. Tick.
Then the loud ring came as he went over and turned off his alarm and thought to himself 'Why me? What are these nightmares?' And now new questions sprouted. 'What plans? Worlds collapsing? So are there more planets with life? If so what are they like?' Then he did his normal routine before school. He quickly took a shower, then he threw on his normal winter attire of a black jacket, a grey scarf, and some jeans, then he grabbed himself some cereal even though he didn't have the appetite to eat any of it so he threw it away, and everything else people do in the mornings.
As he finished up he still had half an hour before his bus came to pick him up. So he sat there with his questions still floating around his head. Maybe he would never understand, or maybe he would.
Tick. Tick. Tick. The clock went by.
Then he grabbed his stuff but before he put on his book bag he had a cool breeze exactly like the one from his nightmares appear as he slowly turned with a sense of fear which was common to him. Nothing. Nothing at all was behind him, but why did that breeze come by? It never happened in real life and all the windows were shut. He shook his head and waved the thoughts away as the screeching of the bus stopping was heard. 'Maybe I'll ask the others at school about this, hopefully they know.'
