‎I picked Elijah up at exactly 6:15 and we made our way towards the drive in movie theatre. One, in fact, that plays such old movies that hardly anyone over the age of 40 goes there. But those are the best types of movies.

On our way, Elijah looks down at his phone and types away. I glance over at him occasionally and try to sneak a peak at his phone while he isn't looking towards me. He keeps his hand slightly covering the screen for the majority of the time so it makes it impossible. Half of me just wanted him to put the phone up altogether.

"So, what kind of music do you listen to?", I ask him and wait for his reply. This never happens on dates. I never ask the questions and I'm never the one waiting for answesrs. So why did I feel the need to make conversation with Elijah? I only always had one goal on dates. To get laid. Why was this different?

   It wasn't.

I had to keep reminding myself that.

I wait for literally almost two minutes until Elijah finally answers. "What did you say?", he asks, only tearing his eyes away from his screen for a couple seconds, then looks straight back down at it. I grip the steering wheel and accelerate through a red light, ignoring the sounds of car horns blowing at me.

We finally reach the drive in and I back into a spot and get out. I got my uncle to lend us his truck so I could put blankets and pillows in the back to make it comfortable. I climb onto the tail gate and sit on the edge, kicking my combat boot covered feet.

I look over and see Elijah, still on his phone, walking towards me. I take note of his white skinny jeans with little specks of what look like paint and his adorable white long sleeve t-shirt. He looked absolutely freaking adorable.

No, Malachi. You don't find people cute. You find them hot and sexy and you only wanna f*ck. That's what you do. Get your mind in the game. Don't think about how good he looks in his jeans. Think about the fact that you want to take them off.

"You hungry or thirsty?", I ask Elijah and he just shakes his head. "You know, I actually use to work at the concession stand here during the summer. Me and my friend Karly had a blast". I smile at the memory and look over at Elijah, expecting to see Elijah smiling as well, but he wasn't.

I sigh and hop down, going over to the concession stand myself and ordering a big thing of old popcorn and a sprite. "Well if it isn't my favorite little model boy!", The lady at the stand announces. I raise an eyebrow and get a good look at her.

"F*cking Cathy!", I gasp, causing her smile to widen. She reaches over and hugs me. Cathy was at least 54 and she could be the sweetest lady or the b*chiest. People either loved her or they hated her.

We talk for a bit longer before parting ways after saying goodbye. I walk back to the truck and Elijah is now laying on his back, staring up at the sky. Nah, I'm kidding. He was laying on his back, staring up at his phone.

This was going to be a loooong night.

(A/N: okay so did you guys really think I'd get the relationship started that quickly? Naaah. We still have a lot to go through, my darlings. 7 VOTES FOR THE NEXT CHAPTER!)
