He comes over to my house all the time. He plays board and card games with me and my brothers.
One time as we were playing Apples to Apples (always the first game we play.), he was the "judge" and me and my brother were going against each other. We play our cards only to see it be a very close one. We all laugh as he tries to decide who will win. He decides and hands me the green card.
"Oh I see," My brother laughs. "Picking favorites now are we?" We all laugh and the boy looks my brother dead in the eye.
"Yes I am." We laugh again and I feel my heart speed up.
No. I tell myself. No, you will not feel this. No. No. No....
We start up the game again and I watch as he chooses my card even when my brothers are better.
This continues the next day, the day after that, the week, and now almost the entire month.
