Reluctant She-wolf
Rowen was just a regular she-wolf. Always told by her parents she was nothing special. They treated her much differently than her three older siblings; Lauren who was a year and a few months older than her and Corwin who was the eldest at two years older than Lauren, then there was Cory who was older than Lauren by 9 months.
Their parents Jack and Diane are the Beta couple of the pack, the second in command and very busy each and every day in the pack house. Her brother Corwin is the next Beta, Lauren and Curt were treated special too unlike Rowen.
The Alpha pair, Alpha Oren, his Luna was Heather and they have three kids; the eldest is Terrance who is next Alpha, followed by a daughter named Raine and lastly a son named Kurt. All the Alpha kids were older than Rowen and best buddies with her siblings.
Being witnessed spoken to and treated differently by her parents, had Rowen being treated differently by the Alpha's kids as well as her siblings. The siblings treated her, if she let them, like she was their servant, always ordering her around.
They, her family, didn't live in the pack house, unlike the Alpha couple with their kids who lived with the many pack teens. Her siblings though spent the majority of their time in the pack house. She stayed home as she was told many times that basically she wasn't welcome by the Alpha's kids and her siblings.
Well her parents have told her that as well many times, saying the pack house was for older kids who they didn't want her around. So she was restricted on what she was allowed to do and where she was allowed to go.
By the time she was 12, Rowen was hardly seen by anyone. She refused to go to the pack house at all, which made everybody happy. Her parents and sibling spent every hour except for sleeping at the pack house.
She ate her meals at home, cooked them on her own, cleaned up the kitchen until it was spotless and spent all her spare time in her room, which happened to be down in the basement.
Her siblings were all sleeping upstairs, in their own rooms. She was made a room in the basement after sharing a room with Lauren for years who complained and got her wish as Rowen was moved from that room to the basement when she turned eight.
That helped later on seeing as she was too young to be around them. She practically raised herself seeing as she was told to stay home on her own, and locked up tight. She had no cell phone, unlike her siblings who all had them.
By the time she was 14, the others were into shifting and running, well meshed into the pack. They were being caught with other pack members, indulging in their sexual side of being horny werewolves.
She knew because of their scents changing, Lauren started wearing perfume that reeked. Rowen's wolf telling her that her sister was becoming a slut at 15 before she even heard her wolf and started shifting. Six months later Lauren's started shifting at 16 and the upstairs started showing signs of her being a slut.
At school, she stayed far away from them all. She was hearing comments made in the hallways about how out of control they all were.
By 16 herself, Rowen had already shifted on her own, her wolf had wanted out when she was 12. It happened before her eldest sibling even shifted. She totally blocked her scent, shielded up her essence and shielded her mind too.
It was because Rowen had met an elder of their kind, one that was amazingly strong. The female read Rowen, then took her aside and since she had her wolf, showed her how to block her scent, hide her essence so no one could tell she was strong. She was taught how to shift without shredding her clothes and the secret for shifting early.
