Chapter 4: Reunion (part 2)

Here I am, serving coffee to my mother who unexpectedly visited our apartment after a long day at school and work.

"Kera."

"Yes, mom?"

"This coffee..... is nice."

"Thank you."

Phew... I tought that she would say something else. Oh well, at least she visited. 

Kise Remi also known as Remi-san or Emi in America. She started out here in Japan wherein she also met my dad, Kise Yukanashi; the son of mom's aganecy and the famous novelist of the book "The Grim's Day". They got married as soon as dad graduated from college and then moved to America after we were born.

"Okaa-san, when did you come back?"

"A while ago."

"Otou-san and nee-san?"

"They're still in America."

"Mama, do you have a present for me~"

"Of course, Ryouta."

She then handed out chocolates to Ryou and dresses for me.

"Arigatou~"

"Thank you."

"I will be here for a week because of work, so I'll be staying here for a while."

"You don't like our house?"

"Are you saying that your mother is not welcome here?"

"Eeepp. No ma'am. I'll prepare the room."

Mother can be scary sometimes. Oh well, I still have to clean the guest. Yes, we have a 3rd room for our guest but it was actually onee-san's room before she went to America. 

"Phew! Finished. Next is dinner."

"Ryouka, I'll be preparing for dinner."

"Okay... But you must be tired from the travel, you must rest mom."

"Nonsense, I can handle it."

"If you insist, then I'll prepare the table."

...

"ITADAKIMASU~!"

"As always, mom's cooking are the BEST...."

"You're cooking will only be BETTER if you had a boyfriend...."

I looked down and sighed. It's true, I'm popular but I still haven't gotten a boyfriend.

"Mom's curry is delicious."

"Thank you Ryouta."

...

"Mom you have to rest, I'll take care of the cleaning."

"Okay, I'll be in my room but nobody disturbs me."

"H...hai."

Whenever she does that, I always get the goosebumpes.

"Ryou can you take out the trash?"

"Hai....."

"Phew, finished. Now to finish some paperworks and homeworks too...."

I sighed and firstly finished some of my homeworks. I stretched and got a bit thirsty, so I went down stairs and see that my brother is watching a movie. I ignored and got a glass of water.

"Phew! Okay, I'll read the paperworks and go to sleep."

I was so confident until I saw a trash right next to me.
