Chapter 3
Georgie was jumping on me, I didn't want to open my eyes. She would always get up hours after me, she was lazy. Her being up this early worried me. "GOOD MORNING BEAUTIFUL" she screamed. "Thanks." I said sarcastically. She showed me her phone, I sat in shock. It was Brad, he'd texted her back before she had even woke up. Good morning beautiful.
I couldn't stand this, I wanted to go home, forget about it. I wanted him to forget about her, this was too weird, a band member doesn't just give you their number and text you that?
She spent ages carefully twiddling her thumbs and chewing her tongue thinking of what to say, she had no clue what to put and neither did I. Her hair fell perfectly over her shoulder and her dark brown eyes blinked quickly, adrenalin pumped throughout her veins as the dull light of her phone shone on her face.
"Good morning :) x" she replied.
As simple as that.
Georgie was shaking, she couldn't believe it, I couldn't believe it. I got picked up and went home not long after.
A week passed and I hadn't heard from her. Finally, on Friday I called her. I asked her if she wanted to come to town with me on the weekend. "I can't," she whispered, "I'm meeting Brad, Mum thinks I'm meeting you, please don't tell her."
I hung up.
She didn't ring back.
She never rings back.
I squeezed my phone so hard it made a groove in my palm. A huge lump formed in my throat, my eyes became blurry and red. I burst into tears.
It was starting to rain.
The rain pelted down like my tears, I was so upset. My heart was racing, I think I cried myself to sleep that night.
