"Thank you, please do come again next time" I told the next customer. I turned to look at the wall clock hanging in a corner in the coffee shop where I work and just as it hits twelve, I sighed heavily, my shift is over, I can get out of this hole now.
I hung my apron neatly on the rack where employees are supposed to hang their work outfit, I picked up my maroon purse that I had specifically chosen for the special gathering that would happen much later.
April's sweet sixteen dinner.
I smiled at the thought of knowing my little sister was slowly growing into a woman much to my dismay. "Being an adult sucks" I muttered to my self. I'm twenty years old and I have just one word to qualify the whole experience--HELL!
Boy drama, trying to get a good job, graduating from college, step father issue. Basically everything becomes ten times tougher when you turn twenty. I definitely need a break from life.Sighing loudly at the thought of my life, I apply my cherry flavored lip gloss evenly across my thin lips that refused, after everything, to get fuller.
"Jess, the boss wants to see you" Dan told me walking into the changing room.
I turn to look at him.
"He wants to see me? Are you sure you're not mistaken? Dan?" I told him completely surprised by what he said.
"Jess! Go see him!" He yelled.
I nodded in affirmation still confused by what he said.I arrive at the front of Mr.Rick's office, contemplating whether or not to knock or simply freeze, I wipe away the sweat forming on my fore head due to nervousness, with the back of my hand clearly nervous like a school child summoned to the principal's office.
Knock! knock!
"Common in Miss Jessica!" I hear him say from the other side of the door.
I slowly opened the door and walked in waiting for him to ask me to take my seat. I sit just as he motions with his hand for me to sit."Has anybody ever told you how beautiful you are Jess" My boss says smiling
I immediately grew wide-eyed amazed at the fact that this meeting transformed from what was supposed to be official to something I don't quite understand.Calm down Jess, he only asked a simple question.
I simply smile not knowing the right reply to give to his rather absurd question.
"Right from the time you started working here last week, I have grown quite fond of you, you are remarkably beautiful and extremely sexy" he says looking like a true pervert now.Oh yeah! Did I mention, I have been getting fired over and over again, my family is pissed at my job losing skills. Hopefully, i plan to keep this job as a waitress in a coffee shop.
"What do you mean sir?" I ask truly confused
I literally haven't spoken to him since the day I got this job, I don't understand what he means by him being fond of me and I guess it's pretty weird for your boss to tell you that you're sexy. I don't consider my self sexy. This can't be good!
He stands slowly, his eyes not leaving mine for a second. I began to tremble as soon as I realize he was coming towards me.
I definitely do not need sexual assault on my plate right now, I have just enough.
"Are you okay sir?" I ask completely perplexed.
"I'm just fine Jess" he smiles completely oblivious to the 'are you okay' I meant. I just wanted to know if he was in his right senses.
He was still smiling and approaching me like a lion about to devour it's prey. He walks behind the chair I'm seated and whispers "i love your blue eyes, your blond hair, your magnificent curves".
He places both his hands on my shoulder and moves down towards my breast and cups them with his palm, giving them a small squeeze.
