Excursion2

Xyle's POV.

The synchronism between the sun, the chill of the air, the voices of the people around screaming with joy, all faint and echoing.

"Finally! I'm here." (She thought inside.)

Inhales.

She took a deep breath of the air around. She gazed over the view and felt fascinated.

She sat inside the vehicle and viewed her classmates on the battlefield aiming each other with snowballs.

She giggled when she saw Andy Waters choking over the snowballs his gang had aimed at him.

She enjoyed the view of everyone enjoying but sighs.

"I wish I had someone to play along!"
She whispered.

"Come along!"

She was shocked. She turned to see Hailey Rogers who stood just few inches away.

Hailey was a brunette girl who was cute if given attention. She wore her specs to her nose with great lens power which made her brown eyes look extremely big.

"Uh...um..me?"

"Uh!? Yeah!?"

Stares at each other for some seconds and both burst into a laughter.

"Hi"

"Hello!"

They never talked to each other before ( not like both of them interlocute with other of their mates.)

"You wanted to play! Shall we?" Hailey ask Xyle with expectation on her face. It was obvious that she wanted to play as well.

"Okay! Let's go." Xyle exclaims with a smile.

Hailey approached nearer to Xyle and held up her hand indicating for a handshake. Xyle quickly clasp her hand and they both knew it was the beginning of their new friendship.

"Where do I hide?!" Xyle thinks to herself.

"Xyle! Come out wherever you are." Hailey shouts out from a short distance.

Xyle feels sweat dripping down on her mental self. She was hiding behind a rock on the snowy hills.
She started collecting snow on her cap when suddenly
"Splash !!"

Hailey drops a huge snowball over Xyle from above the rock.

That very moment with extreme consciousness Xyle smashes the snow on her cap over Hailey.
Hailey falls off from the rock on the soft snow and coughs to get the snow out of her throat.

Taking the chance Xyle prepares to run when smart enough of Hailey, she drags her leg and both falls Dumph on the ground.

They both stares at each other and laughs out loud.

"You gotta move your hands and legs at the same pace to give out a perfect angle.!"

"You talk trigonometry!" Xyle giggles.

"Because I'm not good with words." Hailey frowns.

"I see."

"Let's take a look!" Hailey exclaims.

They had been laying on the snow for long making snow angels and now they were eager to have a look of what they produced.

"Wow!!!! Hailey....your snow angel is perfect."

"You think so!!?? Well thanks. I've been doing it since my childhood. I do it every time. Yours is not bad either." Hailey points out to the snow angel that Xyle had made out.

"He he.....I guess so! Maybe." Xyle stammers.

"Well can I ask you something?" Hailey questions Xyle with a doubt on her face.

"Yeah! Sure."

"I see you alone every time. You got anyone to hang around at school?!"

"Well, yeah. I loiter alone at school but it doesn't effect me. I'm used to the deliberate loneliness." Xyle answers with a sigh.

"Mind if we hang around together ??" Hailey had a big question written all over her face which showed how much thought she had put in it. She was no less than Xyle. Alone always. Now this was the perfect match.

"Are you sure??!" Xyle exclaims with wide opened eyes. It was her first time someone approached her and had given her a chance of being a friend to someone.
"I mean like, who'd like to be friends with this?!" Xyle points at herself.

"Come on Xyle. We both know how we are. I guess this is right. Not pressurizing you though. Just giving out what I feel. I feel that we will make a very good pair together."

Xyle could see the desperateness in her eyes. She knew that Hailey was more isolated than her. And so this had made her insecure.

"No. That's not what I meant. Of course we'll be friends. And let's have the best time together." She says with a wide smile that made her look beautiful with sun rays flickering on her face. Her eyes shone with sincerity and happiness.

They both smiles at each other and engulf each other with hugs.
